For as much shtein as we're giving them, they're still 3rd in the conference in both goals scored and goals allowed.

Considering the only two teams ahead of them in goals scored are the Pens and Caps, and as zesty as we all think their offense is, that's pretty amazing.

theres nothing amazing about that because if they were lucky they might win one game in a series against either of those teams...sometimes stats mean something and often they dont....this is a case where you look beyond the numbers and at the actual team

there isnt a single player on the flyers that scares anyone in the postseason and there is no one on the team that isnt easy to shut down if you want to take them out of the game

I'm not talking about them versus either of those teams. Everyone here knows they're not getting past them.

But for a team with Dan Carcillo on its first line to be the 3rd highest scoring team in the conference (and 7th highest in the NHL), it's kind of a "how in the hell?" stat.

it may be muns but i am not going to spend any time on those stats. fact is the fylers don't need to worry about the pens and caps in the playoffs right now. they need to worry about even getting to the post season.

playoff race as it looks after last night's games. flyers are in 5th and would play the devils in the opening round if the playoffs started today.

still scary as all it would take is a couple loses to have us outside looking in.
