he's been hyped by the eagles and their ridiculous pr machine.

no one in the mass media that i know of has jumped on his cock, though.  i could be wrong because i read as little from the philly media as possible preferring to get most of my inside info from twitter & mds.

Did you read anything leading up to the season? The National media was all over his jock.

what part of twitter & mds did you not understand?

Munson

McNabb gotem on the doorstep with a retarded head coach and a complete lack of offense for how many years?

Ah, but I forgot, those are excuses and he should have got it done regardless.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

do the words brian westbrook mean anything to you, munson?

MDS

dont talk to him please

theres nothing you can accomplish outside of internal rage and increased hatred of a loathsome, horrendous individual.

and no im not talking about mcnabb
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

pretty much

I didn't really start to hate McNabb until after the Cards game and after his article in GQ I don't ever want to see him succeed.  Also it should tell you something when Ray Didinger pretty much blasted him.

You mean the Brian Westbrook that was frequently forgotten in the running game, and sometimes flat out ignored? The fact that he was probably the #1 WR half the time tells you all you need to know about the talent around McNabb.
Who outside of TO did McNabb have to throw to until last year? Chad Lewis?
They gave him a real weapon and they got to the SB and ran into maybe the only team better than them that year, and certainly the team with the better coach.

Unfortunately, by the time the retard in charge got the weapons around McNabb, the defense sucked nuts and McNabbs skills had begun to diminish. Now they've got a young, not nearly as mobile QB who is learning and despite the sieve in front of him called the OLine, the retard still thinks it's a good idea to drop him back time after time, or shuttle him off the field to run the ball with the back up QB.

the epitome of mcnabb was the cards game

no matter what you thought of him or how much you want to complain about the lack of weapons he had or andys bad coaching or whatever--all of those things of truth--but nothing describes mcnabb more than him saying, after the game, that after his td to pimp that he had done enough.

did the defense implode? yes. should they have won the game right there? yes.

but its as clear as day mcnabb didnt feel he had to do anything else after that td. he checked out mentally and told himself 'well if we lose this game it aint on me, i did my part.' how you can defend someone like this and how you can win with someone like this is beyond me.

sports and life dont work this way. but for someone as coddled and as mentally weak as mcnabb, it does in his mind. thats why he wont get a ring and thats why he doesnt feel he needs to get one to justify his career.

He is a proven NFL quarterback who is still in his prime. You do not trade them away. Certainly not to a division rival.

There was no reason to hand Kolb that starting job.

i cant believe were having this conversation again

1. nothing matters except titles
2. mcnabb has proven he is not capable of winning one
3. reid has proven he is not capable of winning one
4. reid got a contract extension

Unless they knew the team wasn't gonna be much good this year and it was time to start a rebuilding phase around a core group of young skill position players. Of course they didn't come out and say that, but it's beginning to look like they knew it was so. Kolb is try #1. They've probably got one, maybe 2 more tries with this group if Kolb fails to find a competent QB.

I honestly dont' know how much better McNabb would have been this year behind that oline and without a change in philosophy from Reid. A little better, sure, but enough to make a real difference? Meh.

Perhaps those who laid the blame at the feet of 5 will reconsider?

Nothing will change my mind to convince me that letting him walk away was a good idea.

Jay has a problem with the team getting rid of his favorite players even when they are past there prime.

past their prime? based on what? a mcnabb led team was just in the nfc champ game two seasons ago.

and the mention of westbrook? you mean the same westbrook who was almost always not playing in the playoffs cause of injuries?

by that beautiful logic you should replace the qb and the coach (apparently the only two people responsible for getting to, winning, or losing the SB) every single season there is no Lombardi trophy. oh wait whats this it doesn't work like that?

and you keep harping on Reid got the extension so McNabb had to go. if McNabb was kept and Reid was fired you would be ok with McNabb here? McNabb proved he can't win the big one but Reid has proven it? Right so every playoff game McNabb ever won was never big but every game he lost was big or a choke job. far less talented QBs have won SBs and far more talented QBs have never won or been to a SB. the whole notion that McNabb has proven some thing you can't measure its pretty funny to observe fans cling to.

i am constantly shocked and amazed by how much how this board knows about the inner workings of a player and how or when everyone knows someone is done, checked out of the game, does not have the desire to play, or is saying one thing but meaning another.

im with Jay in that its frustrating as hell to see this team re build with this coach and FO when its far easier to replace a coach than it is to replace a franchise QB. makes it even more frustrating to have the FO constantly take a wait and see approach, get younger every yr, compete but never go for it all approach, keep stocking up on draft picks to build towards some elusive future that never comes,  and then because of the contract/money issue with McNabb decide to rebuild rather than reload.

other than the fact that reid had spent the last three years building the offense around his skills you mean?
