Vick also did poorly as a WCO QB for 2 or 3 yrs

my guess is Donovan is going to have a good year this year, Vick is used sparingly but effective enough to gain attention from around the league and the eagles use him as trade bait for next year

no way banner and co. pays him that loot next year

That's exactly what it is.  Ideally, the Eagles want him to make a few "highlight reel" plays during the course of the season to get everyone all excited about seeing him again... and then ship him off to the Raiders next offseason for a top 10 pick.

i think you guys are looking way to much into this...the chances that vick creates some sort of huge market for himself this year and moreso that the eagles have some master plan to gain a draft pick out of all this is imo pretty far fetched

to take the PR hit they have and to bring the kind of attention they so surely despise all for a potential draft pick is not realistic...they did this for one reason to win a superbowl this year and they believe they have a plan where vick can help them do that

I think its both.

They want to win, and its obvious that is the main factor because why else would a team who has been wary of the risky signings step out of their comfort zone?

But they also hoard draft picks like crazy, so I think the 2yr deal allows them control of that so they can trade him.

Kevin Kolb, sadly, is still the future at QB.

if kolb is qbing in 2 years i move to texas and am your butt boy for life
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Thanks for the offer...but I'll pass. As tempting as it is, I will continue to be hetero.

But I'm sure there are some gays here who would love a crack at a skinny jew from Philly

MDS

basically im saying there is no shot kolb is the starting qb. he sucks and everyone knows it.

i think the two years coincides with andys contract not as a means to get a draft pick for him...basically reid is going for it all in that two yeah window before his deal is up....

and if vick is somehow a stud this year in however they are going to use him then he will be on the team next year not traded...which is also why his money next year is five mil and only one mil this year

why would you trade him next year if he becomes a valuable player this year if youre trying to win a superbowl before reid and mcnabb break up and/or both depart...it just doesnt add up

Actually, I would not be surprised if Goodell sends a memo to all the teams the Eagles are playing to NOT play that song.

General_Failure

After the Bucs played Rock You Like a Hurricane when they hosted the Saints, I think the NFL might be a little more strict about what songs are played. Still, that doesn't prevent fans from barking outside of Cleveland.

Dicks says no to Vicks....jerseys

"Right now we don't know how much of a demand there is for" the jersey, Dick's chief marketing officer, Jeff Hennion, said in a prepared statement. "If there is a demand for it, we'll sell it."
