QB Eagles

The amount of raw athletic talent on this offense is incredible, from the line out to the receivers. A lot of guys with issues too, though -- whether it's injuries or inability to mold their raw talent into skill. If even half these guys play up to their potential (which could very well not happen) the Eagles will have the best offense in the NFL.

If that half isn't the offensive line, the offense isn't doing shtein.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I was watching Hard Knocks yesterday, that dude is funny as hell.

As far as the thing about him being a QB, yeah whatever.  He is coming here as a situational player and probably going to try to relearn the QB position.  One he never mastered to begin with.  From a pure football standpoint I am excited to see what they do with the multitude of weapons they now have.

My biggest concerns remain the D and the OL.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QB Eagles

Cincinnati had offered Vick a firm 2-year contract.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Guess he must really want a ring!

For him being here for a wildcat role, we already have Maclin, Jackson and Westbrook who can easily fill that role. Maybe it's just me, but I don't really see what he adds to the team that we didn't already have.

I'm not sure the wildcat will see as as much success this year as in '08 with teams having a whole off-season to review tapes and drill on it. You have to really emphasize it in your offense (Miami) to do it right consistently, otherwise it's about as successful as any other gimmick play. (Oakland, just about everyone else)

Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

The dude was convicted of a crime, went to prison, lost all of his sources of income and is now flat broke. On top of that he has absolutely no marketable skills outside of football and organized dog fighting. The criminal justice system is in place for a reason. That reason was satisfied here. The dude should now be allowed to work at the only legitimate career he's capable of having.

I don't like the signing because he isn't the kind of person I want to root for (same reason I didn't like the TO signing) and I don't think he helps this team as a QB (same reason I didn't like the McMahon signing). But the dog fighting shtein is over. He's done his time. What do they want? For his life to be ended? For him to be unable to make a living? People are idiots.

That's the one aspect people are ignoring. It is like they won't be satisfied unless the guy is publicly executed.

and they have the audacity to act like they are pure individuals? They want to prevent a man who's paid severely for his actions from ever gaining any semblance of a life back.

I'm not a crazy animal lover like PETA people are, but I do really like animals. That said, the Eagles can sign whoever the hell they want that is allowed by the NFL and by the law. I bet you at least one person in PETA has married or been involved with some type of ex-con or someone with a criminal record. It would be no different if I told them they are a disgrace for getting involved with that type of person.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.
