I can't believe a $1 billion organization can't buy itself a little lee-way from the townies in a place that they spend 10's of millions of dollars at each year.

I mean seriously: You are a local cop. Eagles camp is going on, you see a large custom vehicle make a minor traffic mistake, pull them over and there are two huge men inside, who I am sure you must at least suspect are Eagles players. Instead of finding out if they are and/or just writing them a ticket, you pull them out on the side of the road and search the vehicle. And now congrats, you found 2 grams of pot. Great job, I am sure that the streets are much safer and you are going to get that promotion you are bucking for.

If I ran the Eagles I would have someone in my organization call and rip the local head cop a new one off the record, as well as whoever controls the money in that shtein-hole little town, and if they searched a player's vehicle again I would move the camp. There are a half-a-dozen spots just as good to hold camp in the area.
I'm not saying that this is the ethical thing to do or that cops should give Eagles players lee-way, or that these two aren't stupid for driving around smoking weed during training camp, I am just amazed that the Eagles have less pull than a drunk-driving 16 year old with an uncle who works on the force.

i know if i was driving my boy and we were caught with the scent of weed and half an extinguished blunt in the car and my boy simply said oh thats all mine im still definitely getting a sobriety test

This is exactly what happened, but it still doesn't explain how the Eagles have zero pull with the cops in the town.

Herremans did get tested for BAC and blew a .05, below the limit, so it doesn't look like he got a free Klan pass.
