Byars had 8,700 plus yards in thirteen seasons. And lets not forget he passed for six td's. Let's not compare Weaver too him just yet.

But I'll say again that "Shady" looks like a young Bwest, imo, but I still can't believe he was invisible yesterday carrying the ball. Reid really mixed it up and Weaver and Vick stole the show.

Sorry, i should have compared him to Cecil Martin

QuoteEllis Hobbs has neck surgery
Posted by Mike Florio on December 7, 2009 3:10 PM ET
The Eagles have announced that cornerback Ellis Hobbs has undergone surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck.

The injury occurred on November 8.  Hobbs landed on injured reserve three days later.

Specifically, the procedure is known as "anterior cervical decompression and fusion," and Dr. Alexander Vaccaro of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia performed the procedure.

"Hobbs is expected to make a full recovery and return to the field next season," the team said in a release.

Westbrook is to appear on the Joe Buck show (HBO) tonight @ 10pm.

BUT WEAVER HAD A GOOD DAY AGAINST A 6-6 NFC SOUTH TEAM
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Not that Weaver has had a bad game.

The guy does what they ask of him; he blocks, he catches, he picks up positive yards. Sometimes he picks up a bunch of yards. Sometimes he gives me erections. That's pretty much all you can say about him right now.

The man. The myth. The legend.

hes been a great get and theres really nothing even remotely bad you can say about him...unfortunately he may be an example of where the eagles philosophy of giving one year free agent deals on the cheap can come back and bite them

I read an article yesterday where he said he definitely wants to come back and play for the Eagles.  And correct me if I am wrong but if the CBA isn't reached by the time FA starts don't they retain his rights?

I think that only applies to some players on their rookie contracts.

No question. I see him wearing blue next season.

I'm almost positive that Weaver will be restricted if the cba doesn't get done because I remember thinking how stupid taking a one year prove yourself deal was (assuming he even could have gotten more years) when your just going to be restricted the next year.

ice grillin you

hes actually one of those players who with a cap will be unrestricted but without a cap loses his fa rights for another two years

but even if he was unrestricted and there is no cap chances are the eagles wouldnt lose him because if there is an uncapped year each team receives and extra "tag" and almost certainly weavy would be designated with one

Even if he's franchised he'll still be a bargain considering fullbacks don't get paid squat.

And he can't re-sign with them until 1 year & 1 day after signing the last deal.
