That Tampa game was the worst loss for me in sports. I was nauseous and numb leaving the Vet. I felt much better leaving the Linc the next year after they opened against TB and lost again. I didn't want to throw up nearly as much.

ice grillin you

wait...are you saying a loss at the last game of a legendary stadium that if won would have put the eagles in the superbowl hurt more than a september game at the opening of a new stadium that we almost couldnt bring hoagies into and felt less real than sylvester stallones face during the national anthem

i dont believe you

To this day, I still don't know what the video of Ronde Barber running into the end zone looks like.  After McNabb threw the pick, I jumped off my couch onto my stomach... and once he passed up McNabb into the open, I dropped my head onto the carpet and just laid there.

I got back up sometime around the time Sly was pumping his fists at the top of the Linc.

I went to my g/fs pad after the game looking for a sympathy bj, we wound up breaking up. To make matters worse the SB was in SD that year so I got to watch all the happy Bucs and Raiders fans parade around downtown SD all week.

Hmm sounds very similar to my situation, only I didn't have to deal with the San Diego aspect.  I went to the bar and got blacked out drunk and ended up going to my g/fs house looking for the same thing, we broke up a week or two after that.

Yeah I got more than that, but also had a complete meltdown because the Eagles lost.  She got sick of my drunken antics and ditched my ass shortly after.

QuoteHobbs: "We're All Dollar Signs"
Posted by Mike Florio on April 27, 2009, 9:46 p.m.

In a Monday interview our pal Monty of Sporting News Radio's The Monty Show, Eagles cornerback Ellis Hobbs talked about the trade that sent the veteran cornerback to Philly for two fifth-round picks and a half-eaten pack of Nutter Butters.

"Everyone is expendable," Hobbs said.  "At the end of the day we're all dollar signs.  Moves need to be made, things need to be done and at the end of the day that's when you need to be professional about it and know that it's a business and gone on.  Sometimes you don't fit into their program any more and like I said, unfortunately it was my time, but at the same time fortunately I can go to another team that wants me.  Another man's trash is another man's treasure."

Hobbs also said that he expected that something was coming, but that he didn't know when.

"I was definitely surprised," Hobbs said.   "I mean like I said I knew something was going to happen, I just didn't know when.  You never know when and how, it's kind of like somebody that's about to die.  You know they're going to die eventually but when it hits you it's kind of like a different impact."

Calling it right on the $ since day one.

If Demps wins the starting safety spot then possibly. Otherwise they'll probably have both guys back there. Demps was pretty damn good last season so I don't see why you'd mess with that.

QB Eagles

They'll probably have Maclin get in there and compete too.

Hobbs was pretty damn good last year too. I would imagine that it will be open tryouts to see who performs the best back there. Genuinely top notch kick return options, whodathunkit?

I'm having difficulty nailing down the 'problem spot' they fail to address but comes back to bite them in the ass. Two seasons ago it was punt returner, last season fullback. Maybe backup long snapper.

rjs246

Quarterback.

But seriously, OL depth is definitely a concern. Linebacker could use some improvement as well.
