contingent on making sheldon happy but most likely he is his replacement/insurance in case brown keeps to his word
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Tomahawk

Apparently NFL teams routinely redo contracts that are in the final year, like Ellis's, but they're hesistant to redo the contracts with multiple years left, like Sheldon's

i think the brown stuff is being overplayed here...they needed an extra corner anyway...you cant depend on iggywanoo to be your dime corner and joselio hanson was their 3rd corner?...yikes

im not saying sheldon doesnt factor into it somewhere but even if he was happy this was a move they very well may have made
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Hobbs in his conference call just said about his contract:

he's not mad about it and he still makes way more money than most of the people in this world, so he's not going to make it a problem at all.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

His agent then made fake static noises into Hobbs' phone and hung it up.

Why would they trade two medium round picks for a guy for only one year?

Stop it.

They're giving him a new deal while at the same time giving Sheldon the finger and it's the definition of hypocrisy.

I love rooting for Sheldon don't  get me wrong and I think they should have broke him up off a little something in order tro bring him somewhat closer to market value.

The decision boils down to whether you think Hobbs will be equal to or as good as Sheldon has been and will be over the nwext four to five years.

I for one think Sheldon has recievers behind him way too much from game to game.

I don't mind Hobbs at all.  He's a good player and I wish him nothing but success in Philly.  What rubs my meatcicle raw is the fact that the Eagles do the opposite of what they demand from the players.  They go out and make deals with other teams' players then act insulted when one of their own goes hat in hand looking for a bump.

How many times has this happened now - about a million?

I know it's a cold-blooded business and that's fine.  But if you continually treat your own players like livestock only to treat other teams' players like royalty, sooner or later that shtein is gonna bite you in the ass.

Yeah, because it's smart to treat your players like meat but NOT try to acquire replacements.

Hey, at least they're compensating.

Pick #137 belonged to the Lions, who sent it to the Seahawks, who sent it to the Eagles, who sent it to the Patriots, who sent it to the Ravens, who starred in Hard Knocks with Kevin Bacon.

The man. The myth. The legend.
