have to wonder if growing up in the footsteps of Ricky Watters had anything to do with that.

The character thing is overrated, unless you're completely nuts like Pacman, but the part about his fascination with Reggie Bush is borderline stalker/creepy:

He's probably the first guy that rooted for the Eagles to play for them since Papale.  And Harrisburg is basically Philly.  And white guy with some speed who makes the team during open tryouts is totally a lot like a guy who was a blue chipper out of high school and a 2nd round pick.

my college roomate grew up just outside of harrisburg and is an all philly fan except hes a monster steeler fan (hes also a douchebag)....that area is like 90% steeler fans 8% eagle fans and 2% taterskin (from when their training camp used to be in carlisle) so shady being an eagle fan was a brave stand a lone thing to do...then again his name is shady so i would expect nothing less

you couldn't be more wrong, it is mostly Eagles fans.  The Steelers fans have always been around but since they have returned to prominence they are coming out of the woodwork.
