who gets the al cy young award?  wainwright all but has it wrapped up in the nl. 

al candidates:  cc, greinke, verlander, halladay, weaver, beckett, f hernandez

other than wins, greinke pretty much has the best stat line of any other starting pitcher in the al.  he has the most shutouts, the lowest era and is top 5 in k's.  when voting for the cy young, is it strictly the best pitcher or do you think it needs to be someone from a winning/playoff team? 

is it fair to count teams wins against a pitcher when he only has an effect on the game every 5 days? 

if i had a vote, i'd probably vote greinke.  dude has been sick all year.  he's even racked up a couple cg losses this year so you can't really put the losses on him.  he just happens to play for one of the worst teams in baseball that can't score runs for ish.

cubs suspend milton bradley for the rest of the season.

this guy is probably the closest thing baseball has to t.o. but not as dominant.

so apparently, the reason milton bradley has been so bad this year and said mean things about the cubs and their fans is because his 3 year old kid gets treated like shtein in pre-school. 

According to his mother, Bradley's unhappiness in Chicago stems in part from racism that his 3-year-old son has faced at school.

"When racism hit his 3-year-old baby in school, he couldn't take that," Rector said in a radio interview earlier this week, according to the Sun-Times. "Parents, teachers and their kids called him the n-word.

i can't really say i believe any of that.  but even if it's true, dook has a $30mil contract.  put the kid in a different school dumbass.

some guy just called about this on WIP, but it was Mike Blowers, a mariner's color guy.  he was just messing around pre-game and predicted the exact details of a rookie's first home run that game.  pretty awesome.

Colorado clinches the last NL playoff spot and is 2 games back of the Dodgers.  They'll face off in LA this weekend for the division title...

Detroit and Minnesota split their 4-game series, so the Tigers are still 2 up with 3 to play...

Isn't that his brother? Manu Tuiasasopo ,the dad played NG for Seahawks. Kid looks like a player.  Totally forgot about the other brother and his brief stint with the birds.
