Gross will be tagged. And GCobb is a hack.

Anquan Boldin.

Clayton was on Mike & Mike this morning speculating about what is going to happen with Boldin and he mentioned the Eagles and Giants as possible destinations for him. I've read about the Giants interest previously as well.

So, the Eagles are armed with two 1's and they need to get something done to swing a deal with ARZ. Clayton said that with Fitz, Breaston and Doucet they cannot afford to pay Boldin market value. And that he is going to be an offseason thorn in the Cards side.

There is no reason he should not be wearing green next year.

QuoteEagles claim Gordon off waivers from Tennessee
Philadelphia Daily News

The Eagles added a competitor for a spot in the defensive line rotation yesterday when they claimed veteran defensive tackle Amon Gordon, 27, off waivers from Tennessee. Gordon, 6-2, 305, also has played for the Ravens, Broncos and Browns since Cleveland drafted him in 2004's fifth round.
Also competing for roster spots will be a pair of Canadian Football League veterans, linebacker Charleston Hughes, from the Calgary Stampeders, and safety Byron Parker, from the Toronto Argonauts. *

I can almost bet the Giants will get Boldin, the Eagles will do nothing to acquire a WR. Here we go again...

Assuming the Giants go for Boldin, it would only be because they do not want Burress back or that he is in jail.

If he is not in jail and they do not want him back, the Eagles better get Burress. Just keep him away from Reid's kids.

Actually for the Eagles it might be a sweeter deal in their eyes since they wouldnt have to give up a precious draft pick or two.

Tony Gonzalez still wants out of KC.

With Peterson being outta there and Pioli, and guy who values draft picks, maybe he could be had for a reasonable cost.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting him for a 4th rounder, pairing him with Celek and also drafting a guy to be the 3rd and learn for a year or two until Gonzalez is done.

Magical_Retard

I would not mind even giving up a third or a second. Gonzo and Celek is a great TE situation to have. And you just know they are going to blow those picks anyway.

It might cost more than that Phreak. Green Bay had a 3rd rder dangling out there and they said no. The fact that you can split Tony out wide demands a higher value

not to many TE's you can do that with

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah, but Carl Peterson's demands were unrealistic. With Pioli being there, he may not be as crazy in his demands with him.

If I were to bet one way or the other I'd say Boldin will be back in AZ. He is still under contract until 2011 so they don't have to do anything, and if they can placate him (and rosenhaus) enough to wait until a possibly uncapped 2010, he should make out even better.

Even if they wanted to do something now and are tight on cap space if they bring back some of their bigger name FAs, it's usually not a problem to restructure some contracts to free up room, and Fitz said he'd be open to doing that for Boldin.
