Exactly, they signed Reed to a fat ass contract, and can't afford to sign both of the latter two, least thats the way I see it.

they signed reed to a contract three years ago...the cap has gone up a ton since then...his contract is actually pretty friendly now and almost outdated...in other words it has no bearing whatsoever on whether they resign those guys...at least no more so than joe flaccos or any other starter that is gonna be looking for a new deal in the next three years

They signed him to a six year extension in '04' for 40 mil with a 15 mil signing bonus. I think he made 3.5 last year, and the contract is probably end loaded, but yeah, even a 5 mil salary is cap friendly and outdated, yes?

it would be runyan all over again...i just wish gross was the same age now as runyan was when they signed him...gross is 29 and runyan i believe was only 26 (maybe 27?) when they signed him
