Boldin has lost his luster. Dansby or Wilson (though he's gotta be old)

you know I was being sarcastic about Boldin right? just checking.

I did not know. Thanks for clarifying

for what it's worth, eagle fans are somehow even worse than andy reid at evaluating wr talent.  here's the big name receivers fans have wanted over the years and have cursed the front office for not getting....myself included.

kevin johnson (cle) - out of football since 2005
peerless price (buf) - out of football since 2007
t.o. (sf) - you know what happened.  great talent, shtein for brains
eric moulds (buf) - out of football since 2007
roy williams (det) - monumental bust of a trade for dallas.  lol

so sad--if banner and reid wouldnt of made the fans so god damn desperate for a wr for so many years, no way in hell fans would even consider guys like Lelie, Price, Moulds or Johnson.

By the way--I think Housh would've done well here. Seattles line was decimated and Hasselback had one of the worst years of his career

lol, i completely forgot about ashley lelie.

i do disagree about your opinion that if the eagles would have had decent receivers from the get-go, that eagles fans wouldn't have been wanting those other guys.  eagles fans in general are never satisfied.  nothing is ever good enough.  give them big, strong physical receivers and they want the speedy guy.  give them the speedy guy and they want a possession receiver.  win by 20, should have won by 30.  it never stops and some of these nitwits will never be satisfied.  however, i think in regards to most people on this board, you are probably correct.

agree about housh as well.  he is way too good of a receiver to fall off the map like many others have after changing teams.  it was just a bad, bad year for seattle.

speaking of seattle, you can add darryl jackson to that list of receivers as well.

DH

If they signed Whosyourmomma, Maclin would not be an Eagle.

I think that worked out just fine.

The problem with Sarge's list and using the players current statuses to chastise eagles fans is that you neglect to remember that each of those guys (maybe not KJ) were, at the time, absolutely better than what was here. So clamoring for them wasn't totally retarded.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

General_Failure

Had Jackson not dropped into the Eagles' laps in the draft, we might still be clamoring for some of those guys.

absolutely.  the receivers back then were atrocious.  at the same time though, every single one of those on my list went to a new team and completely bombed.

General_Failure

As did most of the receivers the Eagles drafted.

so Reid should be called the Mastermind and not Shannahan?

I can't wait for the offseason and the inevitable hoopla that will surround Farve as he plays the media like a fiddle before coming back or not coming back.

Munson

If they go all the way I think he calls it quits.

if they lose this week or in the SB I think he calls it quits, then comes back, then says eh maybe not then totally commits to being back once vikings TC is over.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
