Steelers get Willie Parker back and are pissed.  It sure would be nice to see the skins lose again.

For a team that is so worried about Westbrook's health that they are hesitant to resign him, they sure don't give a damn about him on the field.
It seems like he is always the back closing out the game by running it up the gut.
I know that they put booker in for the very, very last drive, but why is westbrook running the ball against 8 man fronts with 4 minutes left?
Did buckhalter even get one carry today?

It's the Seahawks, Munson.  They were supposed to drill that team into submission.

They did and woohoo and all.

If the Eagles don't get a whole lot better before next week they're going to get slaughtered by the Giants.

Define "a whole lot better". This team went out and did something they historically have had trouble doing, even when they were a "good" team....they beat the team they were supposed to beat, and pretty handily. If Lito sheppard doesn't fall down and hurt his vagina, this game was a shut out. THey allowe 146 total yards of offense.

Yeah, it's the Seahawks. But this is the first time this year I wasn't worried at any point throughout the game that the Eagles would lose.

If the defense plays this good or better against the Giants, the Eagles are not going to get "embarrassed". The only thing that needs improvement next week is they need more early pressure on Manning to throw him off. Get some hits on him and beat him up early.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Good article on Herremans' TD:

QuoteHerremans' TD reception was the second in team history by a player listed as an offensive lineman. The other came Oct. 7, 1934, when Bob Gonya caught a 4-yard touchdown from Dan Barnhardt against the Pittsburgh Pirates at the Baker Bowl.

Celek broke Keith Jackson's franchise record for yards by a TE in a regular season game.

I'm ready to call Jackson a bust. He seems completely incapable of making smart decisions.

good for celek. lets move lj out ASAP. akers impressed me today but hasn't convinced me yet. mcnabb had a poor start indeed, but he did come back quite nicely. still though they need to start strong and be consistent all 4 qtrs. the play calling in the beginning was just awful vintage reid. just keep it basic...run pass run. its not that hard reid for crying out loud when will it stop.

oh and on a side note. the god damn commentators today had it out for the eagles. i really wanted them both to die a painful death

Really?  Baldinger is almost always pro-Philly because of his work on FOX29 and CSN

QB Eagles

I thought both broadcasters this week were more pro-Eagles than any in recent memory. I'm pretty sure I remember them flat-out declaring that Philly fans are the best fans in pro sports.

...and he grew up in Cherry Hill, played for the Eagles, and now lives in Marlton. Just a few more reasons to suspect he's not an Eagles hater.

Dick Stockton is from Philly also.

The BIGSTUD

They definitely seemed pretty pro Eagles today. They talked a lot of Phillies too.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

i got the same impression.  sometimes these guys just have to fill a lot of dead air as this game was well over by mid 3Q.  Seahawks looked pathetic.

You overrate the need for a player to be highly intelligent.  Reid might want you on his scouting staff.

How do you manage to perceive things wildly incorrectly so often?  This isn't even a smart/dumb thing; it's basic comprehension of the obvious.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were watching a tape of the 2005 Monday night game.
I'm not from Philly but some say I'm blunt.

I'd take functionally intelligent at this point. If you gave him the choice between riding to work in a new car or a rabid badger, I believe he would be very excited about the latter.
