Insofar as the federal and state governments give the Eagles special treatment--the comparable likes of which any other business would kill to get--makes me think they ought to be required to be more transparent about this kind of shtein, but at the end of the day I just don't care.

They're typical american capitalist corporation, which is to say, scum.  You don't like it, stop buying tickets, jerseys, etc.  Otherwise, stfu.

I got the email from them today about the waiting list.

Dear Sarge:

According to our records, you are a member of the Philadelphia Eagles Season Ticket Waitlist.  In order for us to provide you with the most accurate status of your position on the Waitlist, you must respond to this message.  Please click here to gain access to your Waitlist Account.  After entering your account number (XXXXXX) and password (YYYYYYY), please enter and/or update your full contact information, or confirm that the information we have is correct.  Once we have received your response, we will send an email to you in late August with your Waitlist position.

By entering, updating or confirming your contact information, you shall automatically confirm your acceptance of the Philadelphia Eagles General Season Ticket Waitlist Terms and Conditions which are attached hereto.

Updating your information will allow us to communicate with you when you move up on the Waitlist, and provide you with unique opportunities as loyal Eagles fans. (Like tailgating packages?) Please confirm or update your account by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008. By meeting this deadline you will be automatically entered to win a pair of Eagles season tickets for the 2008 season*.

If we do not receive your updated information in all the required fields, or confirmation that your information is correct, by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2008, you will be removed from the Waitlist**.

In the future, you will be required to respond to requests to update or confirm your contact information approximately every six months to maintain your Waitlist ranking.

If there are changes that need to be made to your contact information in the future, please update your account anytime by visiting PhiladelphiaEagles.com and clicking on Eagles Account Manager.  You can log in to your profile by inserting your email address and password.
