Your punctuation is making me irate.

Relax, bro-dawg!  Go for a long ride in your efficient hybrid car!  You can then return rejuvenated to attack the day!

I'm not shocked or surprised at anything they are doing - it is all about the money.  The one point I question their ethics on is the fact that they claim to have a waiting list in the first place.  They put up that registration page for exactly one reason: to collect marketing contacts.  If there isn't a law against collecting personal information under false pretenses, there should be.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Thinking they should be "fair" and "nice" is the funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

what about thinking they shouldnt lie and trick the fans...is that funny too?

the team can make gobs of money without scamming the fans

theres a difference bwtn raising prices and deceiving the customer

i dont know why this is so hard to see

You left out the other part I said:

if the numbers are correct that 15 people were moved into season tickets last year, that's awful from a fan point of view.  BUT, the eagles made good on a promise to provide tickets to the waiting list, as incredibly small as it was.

They haven't lied - did they at anytime say that ALL unpurchased season tickets would be given to fans on the waiting list?  Did they somehow promise tickets to fans on the waiting list, but not deliver?  What they are doing, from a fan's point of view, is terrible.  But, they fulfilled the promise to make tickets available to the waiting list, and they are lining their pockets.

I don't know why it's so hard for you to believe that the FO isn't in business to be nice and fair to people, who quite honestly, may put at least a portion of their tickets on StubHub or eBay anyway.

PoopyfaceMcGee

They can't do that to our tickets; only WE can do that to our tickets!

liar

Maybe you should be less worried about my lies and more worried about registering for the Keeper League.

I'm just trying to see how long it takes before I make you irate(!).

when the waiting list was "created" they did say that whenever non club seats become available they will distribute them in order to the people on the list

since then they have not provided anyone with a number
have not even given evidence that a list exists
have not given all available tickets to fans

how do we even know the 15 people who supposedly got tickets are even on the "list"

again this isnt not being nice its completely deceiving the customer

youre not seeing the difference btwn making money and lying to the customer

if a car dealership put you on a list to get the latest greatest 2009 version of a $200,000 car you wouldnt complain at its cost...but if that dealership later on realized the demand for the car was higher than they realized and decided to take you off the list or keep the car to themselves because they found out they could sell it to someone else for 500,000 youd be pissed and be all over them...but because its the eagles they get a pass and it just business

i suspect that the people that dont care about this or somehow try and dfend the eagles fall into one of four categories

1. dont want tickets
2. dont really care if they ever get tickets
3. believe they will never get tickets regardless of the system
4. front office sheep

it all comes down to if the team isnt directly farging me then who cares its all fair in love and business
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Father Demon

You are so far from correct about this.

Without seeing the original press release, I can be 99% sure they never said that all tickets would be distributed to a list.  A lawyer would never allow them to make a statement that is almost impossible to follow through on.  By that language, they couldn't even give Rocky his free tickets.

But, because you are the voice of the people in everything that must be fair and balanced (wow, the irony), you are above seeing the other side.  I've already offered that from a fan perspective it sucks, but it's business.  They have provided tickets -- your original post even said as much.  Far fewer tickets than anyone would be satisfied with, but they did it.  Which means they are providing tickets to people on the waiting list.

They didn't lie.  They used business practices that allow them to maintain a list and not go back on that, and maximize their revenue.

You are incapable of understanding that because someone understands the team wants to make money is somehow against the fans getting more tickets.  The world isn't black and white, IGY, even though your split personality is.  I don't like the decision, but I understand it.  Something you seem to be missing.

rjs246

So let me get this straight:

1. IGY already has season tickets.
2. FF lives in North Carolina.
3. Demon lives in Missouri or some shtein.

This impacts exactly none of you and yet you feel the need to write novels about it over and over again?

WHO F'ING CARES?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I am on the list and would purchase tickets if given the opportunity.

rjs246

Let me reiterate. No one cares.

I want tickets badly.

Then I can sell them on eBay.

riiiiiight deomn  because your beloved team would never lie would they?

you can defend them to the hilt but many of the people on the "list" can tell you what they said..ask sb how many times they promised him his number

its not like people signed a contract....the eagles can go back on whatever they want...but thats screwing the customer

and i dont know why you keep going back to the fact that they are doing this to make money...everyone and their brother knows this...every business trys to make money not every business reams their customer base in the ass and is shady doing it...which is why its not a money issue its a farg the customer issue

joe banner poops more money in one day than the eagles make on a few tailgate packages...and like i said they dont even sell out these packages...but if they would form a true waiting list and issue thes tickets however few to the people on the list so that sb can see his number go from 35,117 to 35,102 it would be worth way more than the couple thousand bucks they make on the seats they take back

like i said your simply in the tank for them because you have no desire or chance to ever get tickets so you instead choose to line up with the team on this...its no different than people outside the city not caring about hoagiegate or the tailgating rules they tried to enforce...and thats cool not every issue touches every person but youd be better off just saying its a travesty and i really dont give a shtein instead of being like they did nothing wrong its just good business sense and i completely understand it

yeah but you could care less if you never get them...you dont live there and would go to very few games...if you get them its a bonus but if you dont you arent gonna lose sleep over it

now this is what im talking about...why cant people who just dont give a farg what the team does to fans just say so...rather than feeble attempts at defending them

Put me down as #3, because unless Spector gets involved(which he won't) no one cares in the media

Anyone who loses sleep over such nonsense should probably be banned from life.  This is just more overblown ridiculousness from you that echoes Cataldi.  The difference is that he gets paid to be an overly-opinionated whiny sack of shtein.

couldnt agree more....the philly media which normally is all up in teams shtein has been disgracefully silent on this issue...id like to see phillymag who does a great job with their expose's do one on the eagles and their tickets

i just will never get over he fatc that they tout a 75k waiting list but when seats become available they dont offer them all to the people on the list

i mean i have more respect for a owner like lil danni who may charge more for a beer and parking but at least is up front with the fans about how he deals with them
