I miss the simplicity of listening and/or watching a ballgame too. Harry and Whitey were the real deal and their chemistry was something that was great to listen to.

All this blackout junk is a mess for NFL and MLB. The cable companies and the suits of the leagues have ruined shtein. FOX always has the goddamn Yankees or Red Sox. Same with ESPN. farg those two teams and their fans.

yeah in the old days the only home games on regular TV (they kept switching between PHL-17, WTAF/WTXF-29 and Philly 57) were the Sunday 1:30 ones.  Those stations also carried 98% of the road games (there were 1 or 2 each year that were on PRISM), and Saturday games and Businessperson Specials were never on TV...

I coudn't really tell you who was on PRISM.  Honey Brook had no access to cable until I went to college.

The game not being on TV is the Giants fault. Fox has an exclusive window from 4-7. From 1-4 games can be on TV, but not Extra Innings. The Giants suck and would rather have a 1pm their time start for a game to boost attendance rather than concern themselves with letting people see the game on TV.

The same thing happened a few years ago against the Nationals back when the Fox window was from 1-4.

I also miss Whitey but not so much for what he was as a broadcaster the last 10 years of so of his career.   It's like Harry is now - painful to listen to because you remember just how excellent he was in his prime.

And good God the PRISM team sucked ass.  Just awful.

Romero gave up a 2-out 2-run HR to a backup no-name catcher that had never homered before.  Pathetic.  Florida swept Washington, so the Phils are now 3 games out and pct points behind the Mets for 2nd
