what me and sun talked about last night is exactly what happened...they need romero for the 8th but he wasnt available because bumblefarg for some reason used him three days in a row the third day being in the 9th inning of a four run game after seanez a guy they got to go two innings pitched a great 8th

what happens today eaton gives you a solid seven and you have no way to connect to lidge so you have to over extend eaton and have him pitch the 8th inning when four of the next six in the cincy lineup are lefty hitters...and what happens eaton gives up a hr to a llefty and implodes

to be fair, romero was already warmed up in the 9th because it was a 3 run game at the time. i guess if they is already warm, you might as well use him.

today, eaton was doing great and wasnt even at 80 pitches. they had gordon up, but no reason to not leave him in after the double play.

my biggest beef is the use of chad durbin there. the guy sucks and has always sucked. why hes on the roster is a question in its own self. what exactly has clay condrey done to not deserve to be the 5th guy out of the pen?

and yea, what the farg was jimmy doing there? after he didnt field the ball cleanly, the play was over, but still...you might as well throw home. its the only play.

a. you dont HAVE to use a pitcher that warmed up and b. he never should have warmed up to begin with....until seanez came out in the ninth and gave up a couple runs or whatever...when they signed seanez they pimped him to deathn as the guy that can come out and get you two innings...two innings was all we heard about him...two inning guy...


80 pitches is a ton in your first start after a spring training where you never went above 60...its a lot to ask a good pitcher to go into the ninth this early...to ask adam eaton to do this is unrealistic...not to mention your point is irrelevant because eaton doesnt go out here for the 8th if romero can go today...eaton - romero - lidge....thats it...but if you wanna argue that eaton does go out for the 8th then at least you have romero ready at the first sign of trouble...i guess he was more needed in a four run ninth inning game than a one run 8th inning game...makes sense
