One thing that I like about World of Warcraft is that it self-balances for the amount of time you spend in the game - it doubles experience earned while you are rested, basically helping you catch up with those who are on the game all the time.

Amusing.

Another gap is that you don't get the experience if someone attacks you and loses.  Seems silly.

I don't think that would be a real issue though because I'm sure he'll still keep getting donations from the higher ranked players since they'll be competing with each other to try and be the highest ranked player in the game.  And he'll probably rake in a bunch from newer players as well because they think it will actually make a difference.

Getting $15 a day from 10 guys is half the money that getting 100 new $3 donators a day would be.  Plus, you have to figure the top guys get to a certain point and then stop pumping in money.  Don't you?

No but it's kind of lame that the game doesn't have an equalizer except for cold hard cash donations. Those earliest to the game are the most powerful as long as they keep putting the time in. No matter what gang we create or join we'll be at their mercy.

Yeah, this is my biggest problem with the game.  I don't believe any of the cutters have paid for more than the $10 package, but there have been some that have paid a lot more than that (these are the ones that go from a level 4 to a level 20+ in a day).  It seems that the levels go up at a constant rate, so there is no chance to play "catch up."

Most of the Cutters joined very early in the process, so they had a head start.  And because they can still go up from 20-25 as they could from 1-6, they're always going to be ahead until they tire of the game or the mods change the way the levels run.

I can't go up as fast because I do not have access to the game during the day.  Because of that, I miss most of the fun stuff.  Heck, it would be over in three weeks anyway, since I get my intern leaves on March 25 and I get my classes back.  But those with access at work have been steadily increasing their stats all along.

There needs to be a place to hide, or the new players won't stick around for long.

I actually think it might be fun to run something like this that is a little more balanced.  If the code was $20 or $30 I'd be all over it.  I'm just not sure people will keep ponying up the cash for this type of silly little game.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I think new people who register will be quick to pay $3.00, maybe even more because they think that the donation is going to help them become instantly competitive.....which it won't.  But JB is still going to make that money none the less.  And sure, maybe some of the highest ranked players get bored with the game and stop playing, but then you'll have a dozen people right under them who may be willing to fork out a few extra bucks to help them become the new "leader" of the game.

One thing that I've noticed is that the game money is a little pointless.  You use it to buy drugs, weapons and housing.  There are potions that are only available if you donate.  Crystals are only available through scavanging and donating.

Why not make them available for purchase just like everything else?  Right now, the only place you can buy them is on the items market but the cost people set for them is rediculous.

Drugs, weapons, and housing are all fairly important parts of the game, though.

Guess I shouldn't call the game money pointless but at the same time, you can't use it to purchase everything that's available for use in the game.

I'm now almost at 21,000 for Guard and still not in the top 20.

It looks like you can download a "lite" version that might give you some insight into the way the game's run.

Anyone know what the point of IQ is? Why is it the hardest stat in the game and what's it do for you?

It's the hardest stat because you can't directly train it at the gym, judo ring, or gun range.

It seems it only matters for your job and for IQ crimes, neither of which are particularly important.

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I don't think there's anything you could have told that would have mattered.

Still, you are a traitor to :CF, and since you're not really that amusing or interesting as a poster, Sus might as well ban you.

That's my take, anyway.

Heck, if that were the standard, you would have never been allowed to post in the first place.

I'd take it as a sign of good faith if you would manage to off a few of your own problem gang members.
