Keep hitting their lower level players.  At least we can keep them from boosting their rep too much.

Good luck with that.

Worse things have happened.  We'd just have to pull all the money, crystals, and decent weapons and then start over as a new gang after.  Not a *huge* deal.

Report I hope you realize what you are doing to poor old Mus-"dead horse"-sa

He's got no originality.

No but it's kind of lame that the game doesn't have an equalizer except for cold hard cash donations. Those earliest to the game are the most powerful as long as they keep putting the time in. No matter what gang we create or join we'll be at their mercy.

Spilling what about anything?  Anyone can - and does - read this board.

I've told nothing to anyone.  You or them.

I think we were joking, teach....
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I don't think there's anything you could have told that would have mattered.

Still, you are a traitor to :CF, and since you're not really that amusing or interesting as a poster, Sus might as well ban you.

That's my take, anyway.

Yeah, pretty much.  Unless you literally spend 24/7 on there building your stats up then you've got no chance of really advancing.

What's the incentive for new players to join now knowing that they'll never move up in the ranks so to speak.

The way I look at it, JB [1] needs to figure that out if he wants to keep the cash flowing.  Otherwise, his revenue stream will dry up quickly.

The easiest way is probably to keep like-leveled people in the same locations.  So Level 23's can't go to Compton to pound on Level 4's during a war.  Maybe only allow travel to two cities based on your level.  That would do something, but it still doesn't stop the oldest players from growing and growing, and no one else allowed to catch up.

Heck, if that were the standard, you would have never been allowed to post in the first place.

I did some checking on the B&B game engine, and noticed that the other sites using it have regular "resets" - basically everyone starts over from scratch.  That equalizes things, but doesn't reward your efforts long term.  It does discourage over spending.

The problem is that the game is so simple that there is no strategy to be had - it is being reduced to duplicating patterns.  There is some room for creating gang combat strategy, but that requires a level of player availability that just isn't possible.  The other thing that fundamentally sucks about the game is that you are always a target, logged in or not.  I've never seen an online game where you don't get a chance to participate in defending yourself, or even give you the opportunity to keep from getting attacked.

One thing that I like about World of Warcraft is that it self-balances for the amount of time you spend in the game - it doubles experience earned while you are rested, basically helping you catch up with those who are on the game all the time.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I don't think that would be a real issue though because I'm sure he'll still keep getting donations from the higher ranked players since they'll be competing with each other to try and be the highest ranked player in the game.  And he'll probably rake in a bunch from newer players as well because they think it will actually make a difference.
