Those points, while valid, do nothing to encourage SD to go on an ass to mouth rampage. Try to stay focused on the task at hand here.

I had a professor in college give me a C because he thought he caught me cheating on the final. I wasn't cheating, I was just bored and looking around but that's neither here nor there. I did nothing about it and my life turned out fine. Just get drunk and make plans to impregnate his daughter in the butt and face in rapid succession.

This goes without saying but SD's situation is a bit different than yours.  He's an adult who's trying to get the best grades he can to be able to compete in a job world that isn't exactly filled to the brim with opportunities for 30 year-olds just starting out.  Plus I'm pretty sure he doesn't have Mimsy & Father paying his way through school like you did, Richie Rich.

And before you say it, yeah, I'm still hurt by your "Chuck" comments, so farg off.

No, his situation is exactly identical to the situation I was in 11 years ago and you'll never convince me otherwise.

On the plus side, I think you are the first person to ever refer to me as rich, which is something.

I thought everyone here was rich.

Except FastFreddie, of course.  And IGY.

Vengeful ass to mouth rampage, SD.

If he's willing....

I have to maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher to get hired at the position in the Gov't I'm shooting for. While my GPA is around 3.5 at this point I could probably get all C's and still maintain an average above 3.0.

I guess it's just the principle of the situation that pisses me off. This course sucked (FF and Ed helped me out at times). We had to do a 10 page lab report every 2 weeks, as well as a 5-6 page assignment in between. He docks you a half a grade if you miss more than 2 classes (1 hour class twice a week). We started with 28 students as well as an extra 6 that were on 'stand by', we wound up with 14 that actually finished the class. I just feel like the effort warranted a better grade, plus I didn't do so hot last semester (2 C's 2 B's) after making the Dean's list twice in a row.

I'll stop being a whiney bitch now

If I recall correctly, I read your question and responded with a "I have no idea, man.  Sorry."  I'm sure Ed did all your homework for you, though.  That's the kind of guy he is.

Sounds like you're dealing with a power-hungry nerd....and that's the worst. I thought about teaching at the college level full time...right up until I taught a few courses. Teaching the classes is great, but the people you have to work with are largely socially inept and hiding out from the real world; worse, they've chose a career where they think they can dictate respect. The in-fighting is insane. Some professors are just awful.

Take credit when it's thrown your way.

To be honest our final group project I had no clue where to start. Ed pointed me to someone on the EMB and she basically did the leg work for me, I just had to put it into my own words.

That is a good guideline, but there are exceptions.  For instance, "credit" on :CF does not have any cash value (or value of any other kind, now that I think of it).

so...who wants to take my astronomy final for me on tuesday?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Tom Heckert begs to differ with you.

Heh.  I'm glad to see that your wits have not completely left you.
