Seriously, it amazed me that he was able to serve six terms in the Senate.  Even the suthruners should have been able to see through his load of BS.

And it's now twice in as many days I have to say I think you are naive.  It doesn't amaze me in the least that white southerners loved Helms.

Helms catered big to tobacco farmers.  That's how his illustrious career was maintained.  He was a worthless sack of shtein however, and I'm glad he's dead.
