ASHBURN, Va., Sept. 18

Newly-created position to manage resources aimed at promoting responsible conduct across the organization and the community

ASHBURN, Va., Sept. 18 -The Washington taterskins today announced that Ken Harvey has been appointed Director of Responsibility, and will serve as a resource and advisor in the development of responsibility initiatives focused on education and advocacy. The former linebacker will also work with the Washington taterskins Charitable Foundation in bringing responsibility programs directly to the fans and the community at lar
"After playing in the league for many years, I believe I have an excellent read on the demands players face on a daily basis from teammates, management, friends, family and business associates," said Harvey. "I think the team can benefit from that experience, especially the young athletes."

QuoteWASHINGTON (AP) Sept. 18-- Ken Harvey was appointed  by the Washington taterskins as their Director of Responsibility, narrowly edging out former taterskin player Dexter Manley for the position. The scales were tipped in Harvey's favor owing to Manley's illiteracy. And his lifetime ban from the NFL. And memory loss after brain surgery. Other than that it was basically a coin toss.

There is no way that thing about Dexter Manley is serious.  Is there?

Isn't that the guy that was the worst overall player in Madden 2007?

paco

No.  I think you are thinking of Sean Taylor.

QuoteI live in Iowa and decided to take a trip to Lambeau with a few friends of mine who are Packer Backers. We went out Saturday night and I was pretty trashed. While we were walking to another bar, some idiot had the balls to make a remark about Sean Taylor(I was wearing a Taylor authentic jersey). He said, "We like to talk about that guy in the past tense", while laughing. If it weren't for the girl I was with grabbing me, I would've knocked the guy out right in front of a Green Bay cop. I think it would've been worth it to go to jail. Anyway, I'm fortunate that I didn't. Just thought I'd share this story. HTTR.
