Quotesteve largent had over 100 td's thats what got him in the hall of fame not 70 catches and 1100 yards

read what Sarge said again. He said over 10 more seasons. Who the hell cares what it meant back then or now..numbers are numbers regardless to any ballot

having over 80TD's and over 10,000+ yards is a hell of an achievement for any receiver and should get into the Hall with ease....and to to say otherwise is just being igy-ish

1. youre an idiot for thinking stats from different eras are treated the same

2. youre a douche for taking what sarge said literally and prorating out curtis' stats by 10 years to the exact totals

you guys are reaching hard and not giving credit where its due. farg Kevin Curtis..I know what type of receiver is he is and he will never achieve those numbers

If that boy got those type numbers...he belongs in the HOF because he did something right during those seasons...but to sit here and tell me that if he did and he wouldnt be comparable to his piers... is beyond ridiculous.

That's exactly why you're a farging moron.  You look at every sport and stats change over time both as a result of rule changes and as a result of athletes generally getting stronger and faster from one generation to the next.

Trent Dilfer so far in his career has passed for 20518 yards, 113 tds and completed 55% of his passes.

Norm Van Brocklin passed for 23611 yards, 173 tds and completed 53% of his passes.

By your logic that numbers are just numbers, then Trent Dilfer should go to Canton.

Idiot.

Fine comparison Rambo, and you can dissect all my words however you like...either way your boy Curtis would get in. But your right..he wouldnt be any closer

Quote3. art monk says

yeah your point? He had 5 1000 yd seasons. Curtis would have 10...a horrible accomplishment right.

This argument is gay and you two need make love fast

Who's dissecting?  You said that numbers are numbers and that it doesn't matter what era they were accumulated in.  Are you telling me that a player hitting 500 home runs in baseball today is as significant as it was 20+ years ago?

Are you saying that scoring 40 points in a basketball game is just as hard today with the 3 point line and a 24 second shot clock as it was before either was introduced to the game?

Your thought process on the whole issue is completely wrong.  Plain and simple.

The post that started this was obviously sarcasm on Munson's part.

It's hard to discern sometimes but he does occasionally make jokes that aren't completely hamfisted.
