Eagles open as a 3-pt favorite vs the Jets, O/U = 42

Ok, I understand that the betting line is a reflection of the opinion of betters, and not a prediction of the outcome.  Still, is there anyone who really believes that the Eagles can go on the road and win this game?  I know the Jets are brutal, but they did hang up 24 on a Giants defense the Eagles couldn't score a touchdown on.  I imagine the line is going to adjust significantly as the injury lists get finalized...I feel like the Eagles should win this one, but I'm just not convinced after the losses to Washington and the Giants.

So, are the Eagles going to tank, or are they going to beat enough of the bad teams to screw up their draft position?

The Jets are fairly brutal.  I really want to be able to pick the Jets to win to further the chances Andy will be shown the door and give a better chance for a high draft pick.

But I really think the Eagles probably win this one.

Think about the fact the both Giants DE's and the rest of the line couldnt get pressure on Pennington all last game. Think about the fact that both Giants DE's and the rest of the line got pressure on McNabb all last game

Simple.

Yeah, the Jets scored 24 on the Giants... but 14 of those points came on D and STs.  Their offense is downright terrible.

I've got next to no faith in the fat man right about now... but I still think the Eagles get the W.

of course you think the Eagles win because they are the Jets, but dont forget they are the Eagles. No better no worse

Cerevant

I've been leaning toward picking the Eagles, but I'm afraid it is just the homer in me.  I want to believe they will win, but it just seems like they keep finding ways not to.

Maybe some teams are just too bad to beat the Eagles (e.g. Detroit).

yeah this game is an absolute 50/50 toss up...maybe tiny advantage to the jets for being at home

I'm gonna go ahead and figure the Eagles lose every game this season until they've won more games than they've lost.

The lone win they do have was fluke game anyway.

im leaning this way as well but i would instead say they arent gonna win again without westbrook and until they win another game or two even with westbrook ill be skeptical...i dont think they will ever get above .500 for the rest of the year so by that thinking youre saying 1-15

Well, I can't argue they'll win nothing more all year..what I mean is that I'm not gonna call a win in any given week unless they break above five hundred.  I've seen nothing so far to make me think this team can win in a manner other than by accident.

I think the Jets also have the coaching advantage. I see the offense faltering again and the defense finally springing a leak by half time. Well below average Jets offense looks average, and the Eagles can't score.

I am really starting to hope they loose out after watching the Skins, Giants and Cowboys win again.

The key to winning the game is a balanced attack, as is every game. The Giants ran the ball 39 times and passed 25. Ran very effectivley for 188 total. I wonder if Reid looks at these stats or what. I don't know what to expect anymore. It could be another game like Detroit or another loss. Either way I'll be surprised. Run the ball and control the clock, thats all they need to do. Fundamentals of football seem to be oblivious to Reid and Co.

That's not balanced.
