well, Celek had the ball when pile cleared, but they had already made the call.  at the time i wondered how they could make the call so quickly, but i just assumed that the referee coming in from the other side had a clear view of a packers player falling on the ball

On Reid's side here, at least Westbrook had 25+ touches elsewhere yesterday, including 20 carries.  Usually, he is kept out of the return game and also underused in the run game.

Still, I am having trouble figuring out how this team completely forgot to have an NFL-caliber return man catching punts.  Hell, they would have been better off not having a returner.  Seriously.  Just let the punts roll out and die.

Bethel is a KR, so he'd be replacing Reed.

I have no issue with Reed.  He didn't make any mistakes on kickoffs, and he was put in a bad position in the middle of the game to also be fielding punts.

It's Reid/Segrest that should be shot.  Like I said, at worst you tell the return man just to run away, or you put on an all-out block and have no return man.

I think I have probably watched at least a couple hundred football games now...and that was the first time I have ever seen anyone dive for a punt.

reed should not be in the nfl...only because andy is familiar with him is he not at home in florida right now....he cant play safety and isnt a good return guy...so why the hell is he taking up a roster spot on this team
