I agree. I think Ilaoa only makes this team if there is some sort of injury to the top 3 going into the season or if Ilaoa performs well on special teams duties and/or challenges Tapeh for the FB position. If Ilaoa shows glimpses at performing well at the FB position and does well in special teams coverage, then I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles keep 2 deep at the FB position.

Hell, the Eagles kept Mahe purportedly for his special teams abilities. And when a player is a late round pick that player better perform well on STs and be out of a job.

I just like this guy's potential. He seems to have good field vision, good hands, and likes to make contact. If he develops into a good lead blocker, catch a pass out of the backfield, and can tackle and cut off return lanes on special teams, he'll be a decent pick-up.

Well the glimpses Buck has showed when healthy were impressive. When we had the 3 headed monster, he did really good. Had some big runs. We had like a one and a half-headed attack last year. Not nearly enough running plays to either Westy or Buck. Good thing is this year if Buck would go down, I think Hunt will do just fine at 2. Moats or Nasty at 3
