Oh, and even though Rowand's homer made it a non-issue, the look look at his hit into the left field corner is bush league stuff.  Only getting a single out of that is a joke.

He lost sight of it and thought it went foul. Was pretty obvious when they showed the replay.

No shtein, Sherlock.  My point is that if he did not know where the ball was, he should have been running instead of standing at the plate hoping to find the ball with his eyes.

So every time he hits what he thinks is a foul ball he should take off for first? Makes sense.

In a one-run game?  Yes.

Are his testicles delicious?  He was dogging it all night last night, and you look like an idiot defending him.

SunMo

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

He looked like shtein lastnight, I'm not arguing that. He lost the ball and thought it went foul. He wasn't 'dogging' it at that point.

If he made contact with the ball, and had no idea where it went, then yeah, it makes total sense to runs towards first. He'd look like less of an ass if it was foul and he ran than he looked last night.

Quote from: BigEd76 on August 09, 2007, 01:31:27 PMHe's a better LH option off the bench than Nunez...
no hes not...cause nunez is a very good fielder

uhhh

I'm talking about a pinch-hitting role where you want more power than Abe and his awesome 0 HRs.  Abe is the better contact hitter (on all those grounders to the pitcher or to 2nd), but Branyan has the better chance of tying or winning a game in one swing...

Eaglez

If Branyan comes off the bench and hits one PH home run it will be a good move. They gave up nothing. He's just fodder. I think he was an unnecessary pick-up because Werth is playing well and the Phils have Dobbs coming off the bench to start certain games and pinch hit in clutch situations. So whatever. It's not worth splitting hairs because I don't know if there is anyone off waivers that would be worth trying to pick up now in place of Branyan.

MDS

When Dobbs starts, he becomes their best LH option. Great.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

if dog flails at one more low and outside pitch someone needs to smash his face in
