Munson

I saw a clip of the beggining of it, he sat down and saaid something to the effect of "avoid questions involving my family or I'll leave", in a nutshell. Guess they didn't listen.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Rome

God forbid anyone should have the temerity to ask him about his farged up family.

shorebird

Oh, they're gonna' ask questions, he should be authoritative enough to handle it and go on to the questions about the linebackers, and quarterback, and anything else about the team.

shorebird

I have to wonder what the farg is going on anyway, when he says he won't answer the questions, and  the dumb fargs ask them anyway. I, as a fan, have more important questions that I want answered. Like........who starts when Gaither gets injured? How close is Kolb to Feeley on the depth chart? What did your no. 1 draft pick show you so far? How is Bwest?  Do you plan on giving him the ball at least 25 times a game?!?!?

Who are these dumbasses asking these stupid questions?

Father Demon

The same press that believes Paris' or Lindsay's escapades warrent more attention that real, people affecting news.

I don't give a rats ass about Andy's son.  I feel bad for him, but I don't care what happens.  All I care about is if it affects his job with the Eagles.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

shorebird

Paris can suck my meatcicle, and from what I've seen on the internets, she'd do a good job of it.

QuoteAll I care about is if it affects his job with the Eagles.

This is precisely why it's a legitimate question that any reporter worth his or her salt should lead off with.

Like it or not the Eagles are a big business and big news in Philly.  If the chief executive (so to speak) has wrenching familial issues going on, and those issues are public knowledge, then he has a responsibility to address them with the press.  It's not like the kid has cancer and is fighting a private battle against the disease.  He's been busted publicly now how many times?  Reid even took a leave of absence over it in the offseason.  That's about as public as it gets, yet just because he decides that it's a private matter and no one is entitled to ask him about it, then that's the way it is?  farg him.

If I were a reporter, that's the first question I asked until he answered it to my satisfaction.  And if me pressing him causes turmoil for the Eagles or my employer, then so be it.

Exactly, he should be able to address it, and move on. But, his hardheaded ass can't.

Still, the press has more important issues to address than how big a pair of drug addicts Reids sons are. He is on the job and isn't going anywere. But the bloodsucking meida has to know about the real dirt. They have to dig. farg them. Ask real questions about this team.

SunMo

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Father Demon

I disagree, but I think we're saying the same things here.

If a reporter asks "What is the situation with Britt?" or "Is it true that Britt.....?", then they are not questions relative to his job.

If they ask "Will you need to take more time off to deal with personal issues?" or "How will the situation with Britt affect your ability to perform your duties?" then they are legitimate questions.

I didn't see the PC, so I may off base here.

I dont think they should be asking questions about the kid other than once to ascertain whether or not this will effect his job. Once he answers that, or shows it will not hurt his preparation, then let it go.

General_Failure

A couple more years of this kind of behavior and Andy will really get mad.

The man. The myth. The legend.

shorebird

He took leave of absence for that family thing, intervention, or whatever the farg it was. He's not going anywere now, but I'd bet a dollar to a donut that he wasn't asked about a leave of absence.

Anyone who thinks it isn't affecting him in someway is stupid. I don't have to hear him say it. He has to be thinking about it. But I doubt it affects the way he prepares for a game, and really has absoulutly nothing to do with football at all.

And it keeps getting better...

Son of Eagles coach jailed for violating bail in January offense
Associated Press

NORRISTOWN, Pa. -- Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid's son was jailed Friday for violating his bail after police said they found 33 pills, including the painkiller hydrocodone, on him.

Britt Reid, 22, of Villanova, was stopped Thursday on suspicion of driving while impaired. Free on bail at the time, he's awaiting sentencing for a January road-rage incident in which police say he brandished a gun at another driver.

Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O'Neill revoked the bail Friday, and police are still awaiting the results from Thursday's blood tests.

As a condition of bail on Aug. 13, when Reid pleaded guilty to gun and drug charges, the judge had ordered him to remain drug-free and limit his driving to his community college classes. Reid faces a possible six- to 14-month jail term on the charges.

"I think everyone should be interested ... in his addiction problems being addressed, and hopefully being conquered. He'll be better off for it, and we'll be a lot safer as well," Senior Deputy Attorney General Marc Costanzo said.

Andy Reid refused to discuss his son's legal woes at a press conference.

"If you can stay away from the questions on my family, I'd appreciate it. This is about football and our football team," he told reporters.

Britt Reid has not been charged in the latest traffic stop, which came Thursday afternoon in a Plymouth Township parking lot. Police say he struck a shopping cart when police activated their lights, and then failed a sobriety test.

"It was a disappointing day for Andy Reid and his family," defense lawyer William Winning said.

The coach's older son, 24-year-old Garrett, also is facing jail time for drug and traffic charges. Garrett Reid admitted he used heroin the day he ran a red light and struck another car. He faces a mandatory minimum of three days in jail.

lol @ the Senior Attorney General saying some bullshtein like that. I wonder if that farg would say something similar about you or I, or one of our kids if they/we arrested the same shtein. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I would vote to reelect him, and he would know why. Preferential bullshtein.
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

Out on bail and walking around with 33 painkillers in your pocket.

Reid's sons are some seriously messed up individuals.
