McNabb on Sirius:
- Knee feels good, rehabbing well. Said he won't be 'dancing with the stars anytime soon' (Joke towards Jerry Rice who's live in the studio)
- Rehab is on schedule, pain was bad at first but isn't too bad now. Trying to get some range and motion back. Looks forward to playing on opening day
- Felt helpless because he couldn't contribute on the field
- Said 'Welcome to Philadelphia' when asked about the stuff regarding Garcia. Said they're great friends, pushed each other all year long. Were roommates in TC. Is a big Garcia fan, pushed to get him here.
- Asked about balance on offense once Garcia came in. Said "people were saying when he was in there they were scoring to fast, when Jeff was in there people said they weren't scoring fast enough".
- Called Westbrook ultimate weapon
- Said they utilized Westbrook on ground more once Jeff was at QB and used more underneath routes. More players contributed
- Asked whether he thinks Marty or Andy will call plays, said "Marty will probably call 85% of the plays but that Andy's always gonna have his hand in there" Expects Marty to hold the reins but for Andy to throw some trick plays in there
- Asked about his dissapointment with not traveling to NO, is bashing Eckel's article and said there was absolutely no truth to it and that if a reporter has sources than he should use quotes, don't just throw stuff out there and make assumptions. Said there was no friction between him and Reid.
- Jim Miller (also in studio) kissing Donovan's ass and asking him how he deals with playoffs/Superbowl. Said they had a loose bunch all during the week but once Friday rolls around it hits you. Said once they rolled up in Jacksonville it was so quiet - nerves really started to kick in. Once they started talking to media and stuff they loosened up.
- Asked about being ready for opening day and would he like to have Jeff back. Said definitely 'yes' and that he loves Jeff, thinks he's a great competitor and hard worker. It's exciting to have a guy like him on his team. He sees stuff Donovan doesn't and they work great as a tandem. Thinks its great that Jeff will be a hot commodity on the f/a market - 'he deserves it'

I seriously could have written that yesterday without even knowing he was going to speak.

He's on NFL Network right now. Asked about TO's performance in the super bowl 2 yrs ago. Laughed at his answer, totally scripted question and answer. Looks like a jackass.  :-D

Well no shtein, this was a waste of time.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

None of this not a leader bullshtein was ever even thought of until that oil spill TO came to Philly. He was never thought not to be a leader while he was winning with talent that was half as good as the rest of the leagues qb's had. Christ, TO had the audacity to question Bill Parcells leadership. Vigy, you need to look past the bullshtein that the press throws out there to get people to read their crap. That Smith article is sensationalism at it's best

Quotei started to have concerns  about mcnabbs emotional toughness before TO even came here...and i specifically remember having concerns not long after TO arrived...when mcnabb would act like a comppete douchebag cornball on the interview circuit with TO...you and everyone else here will think thats completely retarded but its a character trait and a character flaw in a big time athlete...i mean how many winner take killer instinct championship athletes have you ever seen act like a clown like that....mcnabb is the kind of person that when the going gets smooth hes all smiles but when the goin gets tough (whether on the field or off) mcnabb gets goin in his pants

A character flaw? Just because he doesn't act the way you expect or want him to act in front of the press?? This goes back to you constantly spectualting that you know what he goes through and what goes on in the locker rooom or in the huddle because of what you see in a friggen' interview.

Quotethen that same year in pittsburgh when everything went so wrong from the jump mcnabb basically gave up...he was a mess on the sideline..thats when TO tried to fire him up...and mcnabb acted like a complete baby...instead of letting TO fire him up and get his head back in the game he went into a shell...it was right then that i knew in the toughest most critical situations he would have trouble getting it done...

TO tried to fire him up, eh? Like he tried to fire up the Cowboys players on the sidelines who all were looking at him like he was the biggest ass on the planet? Do you honestly think that anything TO does or says on the sidelines is going to do anything to fire any player in the NFL up? Siding with TO on anything he did in Philly is the dumbest thing any Eagle fan can do. Oh yeah, I'm shore that, you gotta' get me the ball will fire a qb up. TO did nothing but act like a complete ass on the sidelines and the everywere else the whole time he was in Philly. And you think that McNabb should have listened to him so he could have fired him up.  ::)

Quoteis it the kind of guy he is....probably
is it because in his entire life before and after he never had sometime step to him in that way.....probably
is it because andy doesnt challenge mcnabb the way he should....probably
i dont know what it is exactly...a combination of all of the above plus some other things...but mcnabb doesnt have it

Those three words say it all. We will have to agree to disagree on Mcnabbs psyc, because unlike you, I'm not going to pretend to know what goes on in his head. You will think what you think until he wins a Superbowl, if he ever does.

so because TO is a corksucker means you automatically can never take his side on anything hes ever done....that the most ridiculous homertastic thing ive ever heard....blind faith will eat you alive...TO was trying to get mcnabbs head out of the clouds that game...the eagle were getting stomped and mcnabb had done the shoulder shrug and basically waved the white flag...TO like ray lewis peyton manning or a million other players was trying to get mcnabb back in the game...they both said afterwards that what it was...it had nothing to do with getting TO the ball....as much as i despise TO yes i agreed with what he did there...to this day the eagles team needs more of that...its just too bad the supposed leader of the team doesnt have it in him to do and a douchebag like TO was the one who had to step up there...

the one great thing TO brought to the team that year was some soul in their strut and some bustle in their hustle...a chip on their shoulder...an aura that when they stepped out on the field that year they were just gonna mash people...

its the only year in the entire reid era that the team consistently got off to good starts every game...they were killin people by the end of the first quater in a lot of games that year...when their normal MO is to all to often have like one first down in the first five possesions

if you cant see that then its not surprising that you cant see mcnabbs faults

i guess the bottom line is that i (and most people i know) are able to judge a person without having to see their video diary....i dont need to be best friends with a person to know what kind of personality they have....on the other hand until that person comes out and tells the world exactly what he or she is feeling you cant (or perhaps in the case of mcnabb you dont want to) make a judgement on them

He did say in one of his interviews that "I don't regret bringing TO to Philly. We had a great year. It was unfortunate how things turned out."

He was like it was a total heroic performance by TO.  Went on to say how hard he rehabed and focused to get to the super bowl with the team.  Blah, blah blah.....

I know the logic of this is flawed. But I actually think one of the reasons the Eagles lost that Superbowl was because Owens played. He was no where near 100%, and the Patriots gave him every catch he got. It was all underneath stuff, and TO went to the sideline almost every time. Had he been 100%, or had he not had been playing, a faster WR could have outran the coverage of some of those passes.

Case in point, I cannot specifically remember any one catch of TO's in the SB. But i know the were all pretty much Out patterns or crossing routs right underneath the safeties.

I do know he caught two of at least 30 yards, and they could have been longer, had he been healthy. I don't know if he was winded or afraid someone was going to take a shot at his ankle, but I do know on those two long catches, he headed toward the sideline when a defender was closing in.

Event Horizon

Ogunleye looked a bit irritated when McNabb kept asking him how to pronounce his name.

in a radio interview today donovan blamed the time management superbowl issue on TO

paraphrasing - i did not throw up i was not sick....TO wouldnt come out of the game and that messed up what packages we had in there and instead of calling a timeout we took our time to get it right

it was hard to tell if he was serious or not....it either was a) another one of his gay goofy dumb ass infuriating interviews or b) the most pathetic thing ive ever heard
