in a radio interview today donovan blamed the time management superbowl issue on TO

paraphrasing - i did not throw up i was not sick....TO wouldnt come out of the game and that messed up what packages we had in there and instead of calling a timeout we took our time to get it right

it was hard to tell if he was serious or not....it either was a) another one of his gay goofy dumb ass infuriating interviews or b) the most pathetic thing ive ever heard

either way, nothing he does will make you happy, so whats the point of you even listening?  ::)

wow that was quicker than i thought....i figured it would take more than one post for someone to bash the loud black man instead of forming an opinion on what he said

You know you say a lot of things that make you seem like an intelligent fan, than you say something like this and make yourself look like a total jackass.  I am not going to say that I know everybody on this board, but none strike me as racist.  Why do you always bring up race? It is not really applicable at all in this situation.  Stephen A. Smith has brought that on himself, even when he is trying to make a good point no one pays attention.  Why? Because he just loves to throw outlandish shtein out and see if it sticks.

I am not by the way automatically discounting his article.

THE EAGLES NEED TO TRULY TO COME TOGETHER
Date: Feb 06, 2007 - 07:09 AM

It was fitting that the Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl this year with an overexposed franchise quarterback. Despite Peyton Manning being on more commercials than any other pro athlete in the world and possessing a 100 million dollar plus contract, the team was together enough to make a run to a Super Bowl championship. You see, every overexposed franchise quarterback is resented by a percentage of his teammates. Head coach Tony Dungy talked about how close and unselfish his team had played all year long. They clearly had been led by their running game and defense as they marched through the playoffs despite Manning not playing his best football. This was a team that had overcome the odds and the critics and gotten the job done.

The Colts closeness can be contrasted with the divisions on the Philadelphia Eagles. Last week Donovan McNabb talked about how he and Jeff Garcia were such good friends, well I don't know that he can say that about his relationships with some of his other teammates. There's clearly a divide on the Eagles football team. To me it's poisonous.

It reared it's ugly head during Terrell Owens' second year, here in Philly. Remember this started a month or so after the Eagles Super Bowl appearance. Owens made the comment, "he wasn't the one who got tired at the Super Bowl". Nobody, not one of McNabb's teammates or one of the so-called team leaders went to Terrell and told him to shut his trap. Sometimes silence makes more noise than someone yelling. This sounded a big alarm to me because you could tell that something wasn't right in the soup. I have no doubt that there is still an enmity on this football team against Donovan McNabb and he is an outsider on his own team.

You can't believe how critical former Eagles were when everyone came into town on that Monday night for the retirement of Reggie White's number. They said this team wasn't anything but a "bunch of cowards" because they sat by and let Terrell Owens divide the football team. Years ago, there would have been fights on the field and in the lockeroom to make a player respect his teammates. Some of the retired players wanted to go after Owens.

I dont' think there is any question that this team is still divided. There are issues with the Eagles that need to be aired out amongst themselves. I know part of it is money. One reason nobody came to Donovan's defense was because T.O. was voicing what a lot of the guys feel about how they're paid. I know there are players who have a major problem with the way the team does business. McNabb has a hundred plus million dollar contract, while just about everybody else had to go in there and fight tooth and nail for a fair deal. They think Donovan should get on their side and fight for them.

Multi-talented Brian Westbrook had to fight and claw for his deal. And you can be sure that he was out of here if the Eagles hadn't lost Owens. Westbrook was featured in the offense when McNabb went down, and he was the guy who spoke the most about how Jeff Garcia fired them up down the stretch. If you listen closely to Westbrook, you can hear the code and McNabb isn't included in it. Plus, Brian was quiet as a mouse, while Owens was running his mouth a year ago.

There's a sentiment on the team that they need to run the ball more. You've heard Runyan be the only one with enough gutts to say it, publicly. The rest of them haven't had enough stones to come out and make their opinions known. For example, they won't march into Andy's office and say they need to run the ball more, they just dance around it. But if you listen closely to Westbrook he's saying it.

Tight end L.J. Smith is going into his last year and I know for a fact that he knows about trying to get a deal with the Eagles because I spoke to him about it. He knows their negotiating history. Once they make you an iron clad offer but you turn it down, you're probably not going to get a deal, other than the Owens/Westbrook situation. Smith was quiet last year when Owens was pummelling McNabb publicly.

Jeremiah Trotter left here for Washington because of a contract dispute, after putting together a couple of Pro Bowl years. He came back and said that the bitterness about his contract dispute was all in the past but I don't think that was the total truth. I think Trotter was boosting Owens when he was going after McNabb and trying to get more money because he was saying what Trotter really wants to say himself. You remember Jeremiah was the loudest Eagle in support of Owens.

Going forward we'll see what happens but dealing with this rift is a major issue on this football team. The leadership of this team has done a terrible job over the last couple of years. They love getting front of the cameras to run their mouths but they are looking the other way as the team continues to have divisions. Normally a head coach would be able to handle some of this, but when you're the head coach and Executive V.P. of Football Operations you can't deal with this head on. You can believe the guys are watching what's done with Donte Stallworth, Jeff Garcia and the rest of the team's free agents.

My point is if he had structured the sentence better, it wouldn't have been nearly as confusing.  That's why I edited my original post.

And it doesn't surprise me one bit that you'd post more of the same bullshtein about McNabb.  Your hatred of him borders on the pathological, dude.

Jesus. No one HATES McNabb. IGY has said over and over and over that he likes McNabb. But he's soft as shteine and is incapable of injecting emotion into the team. Legit concerns. Christ.
