Rugby players can play linebacker. They're the size of Dawkins, but they hit like Dawkins used to.

Now that the Eagles have signed one of your peoples to the roster, are you surging with Aussie Pride?

At least we'd have a player who could get flagged for kicking a player in the head, rather than just in the balls.

If Rocca kicked someone in the head I'm afraid that would be the first time someone would have been murdered on the football field in the NFL.

Myself and a friend of mine (who is a Cowboys fan)  are pretty sure that Dawkins will end up killing someone on the field before he retires.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

So, whats the story? Did this guy sign here? Cuz Ive seen nothing that leads me to believe anything is official.

Aside: I cant believe the buzz this week is about a new punter and not an Eagles-Bears NFCCG. farg.

PhillyPhreak54

He signed. It was in the DN yesterday.

It also said in the youtube video that he signed a 3 yr deal.

The one thing he does well is "drop punt" (pooch punt), so he has that going for him.
I'd also like to see a "drop-kick" field goal.

Didn't Flutie hit one of them sometime in the not too distant past?

Eaglez

yeah, I think it was a PAT.

That last drop-kicked FG was in 1937.

QuoteEagles coach Andy Reid said, "We'll see" when asked if he would bring another punter in to compete with Rocca this week. Despite a booming foot, Rocca has struggled with the consistency needed in the American game. But yesterday he was as much byproduct as he was cause.

It's about time to pull the plug on this guy. It was cool when he got laid out and got right back up. It was cool to see him lay some hits on a few people. But the guy is inconsistent and shanks balls way too often.

Seabiscuit36

he had shanked 2 yesterday and his avg was still 49.5, pure definition of inconsistent.
