Possibly, but the idea of having a cell phone that doesn't last through the day even when not using it at all doesn't exactly strike me as an overly hetero thing to do either.

My buddy just returned the Evos he bought for himself and his wife.  He did all kinds of searching online for applications that kill unneeded processes and had them as optimized as possible.  He couldn't get his battery to last any longer than 9 hours, and his wife's wouldn't last more than 7.

that's the issue with "multi tasking." i've dealt with a ton of this since the iOS4 came to the iphones, it's terrible. Most iphones won't last 5 hours anymore now that apps run in the background.

the first gen blackjack is what I use now, but only for phone text and address book.  I'm happy with it, but it's buggy by comparison to the rock solid startac i had in 2000.

You are going to have a love-hate relationship with that phone for months.  Should be fun.

I had a StarTAC for like three and a half years. That farger wouldn't die. Great phone. Now I have a Storm and I want mouth-rape it to death.

I still have my beat up BlackBerry Curve - I use it so much that my finger has worn a spot on the battery cover from e-mailing so much over two years.

iPhone 3GS is coming my way though. I think I am the last one at work to get one.

the EVO is pretty sweet.  i've been getting about 12-14 hours out of the battery, depending on usage.  the apps are cool, except for facebook...that blows.  it's fast as hell and has easy buttons for turning off gps, bluetooth, wi-fi, etc.  all of which help save battery.

same here dude, ios4 is making everything slow as farg. takes like 10 seconds for my camera to work which pretty much negates the chance to take a picture of anything funny that happens. and everyhting else is slower too. the better fix this shtein soon.
