Eh, a bad batch of parts is pretty much all it is. My question is why wouldn't these people just go and return it and get one that works properly?

probably, because not everyone is complaining about it.  regardless, i'm def waiting a few months before buying to make sure that the issue is resolved and that i don't get a faulty one.

Go return it. They'll replace or fix for free (i had a similar issue with an ipod touch). Stop whining.

actually, they're quite similar.  just like the ipad, rusty's balls has a faulty antenna.
