perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

There have been legitimate scientific concerns with the cervical cancer vaccine.  Which is why several countries in Europe have been reluctant to fully approve it.

That being said, it is highly efficacious, and the data is pretty compelling that it will be effective in lowering cervical cancer rates in women and oral and throat cancer in the men who eat them out.

Even with those advantages, I don't want some farging politician to tell me my kids have to get it.  That's my decision as a parent, not theirs.

I prefer to have Rick Perry tell me how to live, and wouldn't know what to do without his leadership.

While, in the same breath, telling the government to keep its hands out of peoples lives!

Anyway, it's awful nice of you to let people believe in fairies and dragons, so long as we're clear that they don't exist, and you're just being nice for the sake of being nice.

I don't believe in fairies.  I don't believe in dragons.  I don't believe in Zimmerman.

I just believe... in me.

QuoteWell, I'm still here. But I don't know for how long. That's as much certainty as anyone can give me. But I've got some good news: I no longer have any fear of death. But... I am in a pretty lonely place. No one will have sex with me. I'm so close to the end, and all I want is to get laid for the last time. I have pornographic movies in my apartment, and lubricants, and amyl nitrite...

The data isn't fully in, but no, it's not a joke.  Correlations between oral/throat cancer and HPV aren't as strong as with cervical cancer, but there's smoke there.  Some scientists believe it's likely that HPV could be transmitted this way, and the way the virus integrates in cells is fully capable of inducing cancer development in any tissue.
