Obama has a rough road ahead of him that is for sure. The economy is in tatters and we are involved in two wars abroad. With the usual political sniping that goes with the job he'll be attacked on all fronts by the end. It's not what I want to happen but it is what I think will happen.

As many know I am a very conservative (real conservative not one of those evangilical morons) republican. But Jesus Christ we have to support this guy. He is president of the United States. There are big stakes here. This is important stuff. I wish President Obama all the best and hope he is our greatest president ever. My biggest worry is that some idiot will take a shot at him and really let us know that we haven't really evolved all that much.

It would take a complete idiot not to suport the new president, this guy was voted in, and this country is in a heap of shtein. I will not agree with everything he does, already question a few of decisions, but in no way do I want him to fail. I want every president to be the best ever. If this guys gets it together and turns this country around I would be a happy happy man. I wish him well, and good luck he is going to get attacked by both sides of the aisle.

Whether you voted for Obama or McCain, Obama will be our president as of noon tomorrow.  All we can do is hope and pray (for those of you who do so) for President Obama, because he's got one hell of a lot of problems on his hands. 

As rjs said, we can guess that Obama will be competent and a vast improvement on Bush, but right now that is not assured.  Our assumption are based on his handling of the election.  While admirable, his responsibilities as president will make that seem like planning a vacation to DisneyWorld.  He'll be learning on the fly.  One thing I liked that President Bush did was to bring in Obama several times during this lame duck period.  Hopefully it can help give Obama a head start on what he wants to do.
