Huckabee is at least a likeable personality with a sense of humor.  He's batshtein crazy on religious/moral grounds and fiscally about as conservative as George Bush...

but he comes off as a nice guy with a good sense of humor.  That's not nothing for a politician.

So, just like me with Obama, you like the guy... but you can't VOTE for him.

Probably, especially now that the "Africa is a country" story turned out to be bullshtein.

that doesn't surprise me.  you tend toward on/off, binary thinking

he's an evil dude, therefore he's not likeable or funny

he's the enemy, but I can understand why people like the personality apart from the hateful god worship baloney

Anyone who didn't believe it is a complete partisan.  The only way you could think she isn't dumb enough to have no worldy clue about Africa or NAFTA is if you blindly support the anti-intellectualism of modern conservative republicans.

That's ridiculous.  As full of idiots as the world is, I can't imagine all but the dumbest 5 to 10% of Americans older than 20 think Africa is a country and not a continent.  To think she falls in that category puts your mind in the partisan-hate-the-Republican-camp-at-all-costs, not mine in the pro-Republican-partisan empty thinking group.

I put you three light years ahead of ATV, and this crap is right up there with his spillage.

I don't think it's a very big stretch to say that a significant portion of the population doesn't know whether Africa is a country or continent. Hell, a large number of people can't name the vice president of the US at any given point.

I just didn't think it was that far out in left field because, 1. I generally assume that people are idiots and 2. She hadn't exactly shown a lot of accumen when it comes to international issues.

In hindsight it's easy to say "Of course she knew that Africa was a continent!" but while we were all being inundated with stories of her international ignorance, I didn't find it to be all that far fetched.

she actually said she had foregin policy experience because she was the governer of a state that "bordered russia"

thinking that africa is a country and not a continent is less agregious than that and definitely believable coming from her...its not even close

this isnt a partisan issue this is a palin is a retard issue because numerous republicans thought it was true...shtein even fox news reported the story

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children

I know you are desperate for validation, but no one has said the "Africa is a country" bit isn't true.  What was fraudulent was the person who claimed to have said it.  The FOX News reporter who broke the story said that this whack job is not his source.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
