Cerevant is pointing out anything and everything that could be construed as a negative again Palin?

I am shocked!

And her positives are?  The McCain press release had her "experience" as commander of the Alaska National Guard as sufficient to be commander and chief!

Give me a break.  She was selected to make a play for Hillary's supporters, in spite of the fact that she stands opposite her on almost every issue.

Ok, maybe she does have one positive...She openly admits that she inhaled.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

to expect women across the country to just jump on board now because McCain chose a broad is a bit of a reach

Clearly you've never met women.

I'm just waiting to see Hillary's reaction.  If she was only going to half-heartedly campaign for Obama before, I think that just changed.

McCain had a real opportunity to bring in a strong candidate that would cause real problems for Obama.  This pick has the potential to end the campaign (for McCain) in a couple of weeks.

I don't understand this choice.

Does anyone think this woman could be President of the United States?  Of the four candidates, she's got to be the least ready for that role by any measure.

She has literally zero foreign policy experience, from what I've found so far.  Has she even traveled much?  She's what, 45 years old going on 30?  She ran Alaska for two years?  PG is right, the Republicans are going to be forced to drop the "inexperienced" charge because of this choice.

Rusty's kindly view of women aside, there is no chance that the on-the-fence Hillary supporters go for her just because she's a woman.  They may not like Obama much, but you can be sure they dislike being condescended to even moreso.

Don't under estimate the Republican white house machine.  They were able to get Bush in there twice against (probable) superior candidates.

And Cerevant - say what you want - but no matter who McCain picked you would have railed against it and dug up every negative nuance possible from your Google machine.  It's too late to try the "I'm just pointing out the truth" angle.

The thing is, she's the only one of the 4 with any kind of executive leadership experience at all.

The move was politically brilliant in the short term...it effectively erased the DNC from the front pages of everywhere.

I did not expect that :CF would embrace the idea that FoxNews isn't alone in the "bush league news" arena, but merely wanted to point out to the few reasonable moderates on the board that it is indeed the case.

Go ahead and continue your DNC sucklefest.

Indeed your ass.

Every election season good loyal Right Wing footsoldiers do their part online to portray themselves as "moderates". Teabag my ball sack "moderate" fvck.

Juvenilistic, predictable and last year's humor,

No less so than your comment about rjs being a moderate you stinkin' two faced Skins fan.

I'm pretty sure ATV was railing on FF, but thanks for sticking up for me! I'm so fragile...

You are correct sir, but as you can see, if the idiot skins fan knew how to use the quote button, I would have already known that. DMF

She has a 19 year old enlisted army son ready to be shipped to Iraq.  And a baby with Down's syndrome.  And a 17 year old daughter that is better looking that Chelsea was at 17.  Plus, she kills moose for FUN.  I bet she likes anal.

All things that the country will love or sympathize with.

She's pro-life.  She's anti-gay marriage, but signed a gay friendly law in Alaska.  She is for drilling in Alaska.

That's all I know about her.

Politically, I 100% understand the pick from the Professional White House people.  The timing was impeccable (What Obama speech?).  But aside from that, I'm not crazy at all about the pick, because the pubs are going to get beat up about her zero-experience background in case McCain dies.

On the bright side,
McCain is a friendly and classy politician.

Politically brilliant timing?  I don't see it.  The DNC convention is over..they didn't expect to dominate the news all week.  Moreover, it's a Friday before Labor day weekend.  People will go "he picked who?  a woman? from where?" as they pack their shtein up for the weekend.  By Tuesday when the nation wakes back up, it will be dead news.

Pathetic attempt to insert himself into the dialogue.  His local market ads have been anything but high-brow, positive-campaigning, focus on the issues stuff.  It's disingenuous and sad.  If Obama weren't black, McCain wouldn't have made that ad at all.
