Christ that's embarrassing.

HA! I don't if I'm laughing at the post itself or the fact that you use the name Christ to say it's embarassing when you don't believe in him.

Ironic, yes?

PoopyfaceMcGee

The irony is as delightful as a lovely pun.

Rome

Pun?

Q: What do you call a Nun who sleepwalks?

A: A Roamin' Catholic!

Hahahahahaha!

I worship lots of false idols. Their names are Beer, Bacon, the ACLU, Jenna Haze, Tequila, Football, Hockey, Briana Banks' Anus, the Coen Brothers, Cormac McCarthy and myself. There are porbably more but I just started thinking about Briana Banks' anus and got distracted.

TEQUILA!

You just gave me plans for my Thursday night.

There's a difference between doing this and being a total asswipe by trying to cram religion down people's throats once assuming power. Obama is much smarter than that. He's not a fundamentalist. We shouldn't live in a theocracy. What would you have him do - Not advertise that he's a christian? Because another thing to consider is the Right Wing filth out there that try to portray him as some sort of closet muslim.

To clarify - I think it is highly unlikely he'll start throwing around fundie power when he takes office.  I am mostly concerned about this becoming a campaign issue (perception vs. reality)

I am fine with him sharing who he is and not being ashamed about being a Christian.  I just think he could have sent that message better without implying that he would be "doing the Lord's work" while in office.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

McCain, our foreign policy expert:

Quote"I believe that it's not an accident that our hostages came home from Iran when President Reagan was president of the United States. He didn't sit down in a negotiation with the religious extremists in Iran, he made it very clear that those hostages were coming home.''

Ollie North?  Arms for Hostages?  Any of that ring a bell?

I believe there are some good moral tenants in chirstianity

christianity didnt come up with moral tenants...people in the name of christianity did

like rjs said things like the ten commandments are no brainers and generally something an 8 year old of any religion (or no religion at all) could come up with

it makes me sick when people attach moral values to religion
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous
