It doesn't look like the GOP will keep control of the house and Senate. Democrats nationwide are out fundraising their counterparts and lots of GOP senators and house reps are choosing not to run again.

Um, they already don't have control over the House, and the Senate is about even IIRC.

Sorry meant to say regain control... In fact they'll slip further into the minority.

Good.  Let's see what the Democrats can do with a majority in both houses and the White House.

Well, that's assuming Hillary doesn't farg the party in the ear.

Igy,

I was having a sort of conversation with a teacher on my team that is convinced that Hillary will not be nominated because she is a woman.  She is convinced that the American people would choose a black man over a woman, which I found interesting since it contrasts to your point of view on Obama.

Pre Wisconsin and Hawaii results:

Barry O- 1102 delegates, 161 super, 1263 overall

The Bitch- 978 delegates, 234 super, 1212 overall

2025 needed to win. 74 delegates on the line in Wisconsin, 20 in Hawaii.

Also a new CNN Poll shows that Barry's only down 2 points to Hitlary in Texas, well within the margin of error
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Holy shtein, John McCain speaking makes my ears bleed.

Quotein general all religions are looney...and of course it has its lunatic fringe (as do all religions) but islam is about the most peaceful religion out there....in fact i believe the word islam translated means peace

Wow that is one of the most outrageous remarks I have ever heard you say. How many other religions have there own world wide terrorist groups, treat their women lower then dogs etc. Geesh man.

Not to mention the loonies in the religious right who don't except homosexuality, the peaceful ones in Islam will just kill them out right no biggie.

All religions imo have their wack jobs but islam has the most and the extreme violent ones, it's scary that you don't see that.

Obama margin of victory in Wisconsin: 17% - check
Obama wins Hawaii with 76% of the vote - bonus

I'd like to slightly revise my Texas prediction: While Obama's margin of victory in votes will be small in Texas, the rules for assigning delegates will give him a >10% (13 delegate) margin of victory in delegates.

QuoteThe presidential primary is binding and has a minimum 15% threshold to receive delegates. The 126 state senate district delegates are selected through the primary based on results in each of the 31 state senate districts. They are apportioned based on the weight of the vote cast for the Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas, Chris Bell, in the 2006 general election, and for John F. Kerry in the 2004 Presidential election. This has the result of increasing delegates in African-American senatorial districts disproportionate to their population.

I predict Hillary will start emphasizing a southern accent and begin using "hip" phrases like "shout out" to appeal to that demographic.  I also predict that she'll look like an ass doing so.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Mic, this is one of the most off the wall things you've posted bro.

Bombing abortion clinics.

The KKK.

Salem witch hunts.

All acts of terrorism, all done because of Christian beliefs.

The KKK obviously is not as open and upfront about things like they were in the past, but their actions were very much acts of terrorism.

All done in the name of Christ, God or whatever.  Blowing up an abortion clinic is just as much an act of terrorism as hijacking a plane.  Terrorists/terrorism are not exlusive to any religion or exclusive to religion at all.

The Christian bible isn't accepting of homosexuality.  Even moderate Christians are racist/homophobes/other religions, etc, etc.  In the middle of the century right here in America, I believe the Jews were being harassed, beaten and sometimes murdered by Jew hating Christians.

Homosexuals, especially in the 80's and 90's as they started coming out in full force were constantly the victims of hate crimes, often perpetrated by people who were doing God's will because God hates Romes.

Those are all acts of terrorism.  They are designed and executed with the intent of harming/killing a few and spreading panic and terror to many.  That's the goal.

In my experiences, I've found that the more serious a person seems to be about religion (any religion), the less tolorant they are of people not like them.  Of course, it doesn't apply to everyone.  I've met some bible thumping jesus freaks who love them some colored folk, gay folk and even colored gay folk.  But those type of people are far, few and in between.

Hillary's strategists have no clue what they are doing - they are running this primary like electoral votes are on the line, not delegates.  If the primaries were winner take all, she'd be kicking ass, but that's not how it works.  Her "only big states matter" strategy is doing her in.

Margin of victory (delegates) per state won:
Hillary - 18 (20)
Obama - 12 (13)

Margin of victory (delegates) per total states:
Hillary - 5 (6)
Obama - 9 (9)

The big states aren't delivering enough delegates to make up for all the losses.  While this is a "duh" in retrospect, with 22 states left it is asinine to say that 3 states (TX, OH and PA) are critical.  The margin of victory in those states would have to be so disproportionate to what has happened in the rest of the country to make a difference that it isn't even realistic.

It would take a major incident (and the "plagiarism" spat doesn't even register on the radar) for Obama not to come out of this with a significant lead in pledged delegates - even if you seat Florida and Michigan.  The numbers in parenthesis above include MI & FL.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
