I saw on TV that right now Hillary would have to take about 65% of the remaining vote to overtake Barry in the pledged delegate lead, and then Barry would have to take 65% of the remaining vote to hit the clinching number. So most likely this thing gets played out in the backroom at the Convention. Yay.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

New Zogby poll numbers

Highlights:

QuoteThe poll showed Obama with a 14-point edge over Clinton, 52 percent to 38 percent, after being in a statistical tie with the New York senator last month.

QuoteIn a head-to-head matchup, Obama beat McCain 47 percent to 40 percent. He led McCain among independents, in all age groups except those above 70, and in all regions but the South.

McCain beat Clinton 50 percent to 38 percent in a head-to-head matchup. The Arizona senator led Clinton in all regions of the country, among independents and in all age groups.

That is all.

My point was that islam is by far way past peaceful it ain't even funny. not that any of this shtein is funny.

Hilary is heavily favored in PA, so if you've never voted but want Obama nows your chance to make an impact.

Do you really expect Hillary to back down even though she would be far behind? At this point why quit, take your chance on the convention and the super delegates.

ice grillin you

shes already losing superdelegates and will be getting crushed in them if he wins any two of those states i mentioned...in the end the supers are going to all gravitate towards the winner and especially so with barry if he continues to show in the polls he has a better chance to win the general....the superdelegates is a neat sounding story and the media loves to talk about it cause of the controversy it would cause but its not going to come down to them imo

she will stand down before the convention...the democtatic party does not want a brokered convention...it would be a horrible mistake for them to not have a united front in trying to take back the white house...

...and don't you think McCain would be dancing around his office if the Democrat's hand-picked nominee did not have the backing of its voters?  The only way this goes to the superdelegates is if the margin is less than 100 delegates.  Hillary's campaign has basically said that this is their current goal - to get it to less than 100 and force the decision at the convention.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/02/teamsters_plan_to_endorse_obam_1.php

The 1.4 million-member Teamsters union will endorse Sen. Barack Obama's presidential candidacy today, Democrats briefed on the decision said.

A Teamsters official confirmed the endorsement.

Barack Obama today picked up the support of two super delegates from New Jersey as several major Democratic leaders in South Jersey announced that they would switch their endorsements from Hillary Clinton to Obama. Super delegates Donald Norcross, who had previously been uncommitted, and State Sen. Dana Redd, who had backed Clinton, are now for Obama. This is a net pickup of two super delegates for Obama and a loss of one for Clinton.

I think it's very easy to fall into Islam bashing. It's something none of us really understand and their terrorist radical fringe is focused on the evil "west" at the moment. There are so many dualities in religion in general and folks pick and choose the things that make sense as far as morality. I have a hard time believing that the people behind Islamic terrorism are actually true Muslims. They know how to use the fiery passages of the Koran to recruit and motivate their disciples but are they really religious themselves or is religion just a tool to them? I think of Osama and that ilk more like David Koresh types then actual religious folks. They wear the mantle so they can use it but anyone willing to strap a bomb around a child and send them into a marketplace of real people (not soldiers or American Imperialists) just to make a point and get some negative press can not be truly religious.

It just depends on which groups of muslims you look at.  Saying that the all of Islam is beyond peaceful based on acts of terrorism committed by Muslims in the name of Islam is like saying that all Christianity is beyond being peaceful because a few Jesus freaks blow up an abortion clinic.

The truth is that with Christians or Muslims or whoever, the vast majority of them are peaceful people who look to religion to give them a better sense of self, a reason for existing and most importantly, the hope of something beyond this life.

The only reason Islam is so villified here is because we're a predominately Christian country, so Christian America looks at the Islam like it's Santa Claus, Atlantis or the clitorus.....just something made up with no validity to it.

This is on point.

Without getting into a comparative religions debate, all three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) have common roots, and yet all three have such prejudice against the others that it sometimes blinds people towards what the core values of their own religion is supposed to be:  love for all people (in Chrisitian terms, termed as loving your neighbor as yourself).

The problems for each religion is a common failing in all people:  a reluctance to accept differences in people.  Whether it be race, customs, or creed, people have always had a hard time accepting people who have fundamentally different beliefs or practices.  It's not just a failing of Christianity or Islam, of blacks and whites, of Democrats or Republicans, or of Americans or Russians.  It is a continuous thread throughout history.

its also important to note that not all muslims who attack us are doing it in the name of islam...bush and company would like nothing better than to have us believe its a christian vs muslim thing but it isnt...

most do it because we invaded one of their countries....no different than what our citizens would do were we invaded
