QuoteSocially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Is this part true (not of Obama, but Muslims)?  I always figured the Muslims I met were just stuck up fargers.  Turns out they're just bigoted?

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

If you read it on the internet...it must be true.

It's science.

in general all religions are looney...and of course it has its lunatic fringe (as do all religions) but islam is about the most peaceful religion out there....in fact i believe the word islam translated means peace

Clearly, IGY is actually finding himself rooting for Obama strongly, and thus he has to temper his high expectations and hopes by trashing his chances at every turn.

Frankly, IGY's a Philly fan that happens to be an Obama supporter, and the audacity of hope can't crack the tough exterior caused by no championships since Reagan's first term.

Go easy on him.  He's been through a lot.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Give me a break - Obama and Patrick are buddies, and Patrick probably called him up and told him to use his material.

Yep...[/quote]

Quote:: the clinton campaign accused barack obama of plagiarizing the words you used in the 2006 campaign. you're laughing. that's a serious charge.

:: i am laughing. it's an elaborate charge, an extravagant one. i've known barack for almost 15 years now. we talked a good deal during my own campaign and his. we fully expected. i fully expected he would sus sustain a charge at some point trying to belittle his ability to motivate people with language. i got the same kind of attack when i was running f governor of massachusetts. i told him about i had responded because i think word dos matter.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

the only disappointing thing about this is that barry didnt come up with it on his own because its an absolutely brilliant retort

C'mon - the whole thing is utter bullshtein, because none of these people write their own speeches anyway.  They don't footnote the speech writers when they speak, are they supposed to when one speech writer borrows from another speech writer?

The point isn't any less valid because it had already been made by someone else.

Oh, and Hillary did it too...

WTF, the "plagiarism" is almost a year old - and the similarity already caught.  Hillary's desperation is more evident every day.

New Info:  Hillary's camp will go after Obama's delegates if it's very close at convention time.

Not the superdelegates, either.  The COMMITTED ones.

Cerevant

Here's the link.

It is reassuring to see that most of the party big shots quoted don't think this is a very good idea...

The Clinton's fight dirty and will win the nomination most likely. It won't be pretty though and they might come out damaged enough to give the general election over to a Republican.

It doesn't look like the GOP will keep control of the house and Senate. Democrats nationwide are out fundraising their counterparts and lots of GOP senators and house reps are choosing not to run again.

Um, they already don't have control over the House, and the Senate is about even IIRC.
