made up their minds are you nuts?....more first time and undecided voters than in any election in memory and an incredible amount of people not knowing who they will vote for until the day of or day before and things like this dont matter?

like i said in states where obama was a strong favorite you might be right...but he cant afford slip ups like this in states where hes trailing and thats the case with the big ones coming up...he has to prove he can win the blue collar hardcore dems in places like canton and toledo....this kind of stuff is going to hurt him there

not to mention if he somehow wins the nomination its really gonna sting when hes going up against "an american hero" in the general

I've listened to it a couple of times now and just don't feel where she is being unpatriotic. the plagerism thing was just stupidy on his part. But how many times did Hilary say "change" after Obama said it and got love for it.

ice grillin you

i dont think either are a big deal...as for the plagerism he knew what was previously said and obviously was feeding off that vs trying to act like it was his own...bad judgement in that he should have footnoted where it came from but anyone that thinks he was thinking that everyone would take those as his words is ridiculous

as for his wife there was nothing even remotely wrong with what she said

unfortunately perception often trumps reality when it comes to politics

People who are leaning towards Obama aren't going to change their minds because of some lame ass smear from Hillary.  You claiming Obama is done based on today's events is a ridiculous overreaction and it's just not true.  So, again, settle yourself down, home boy.

I have to agree with this. Wisconsin was a huge Hillary state, so if she wins it, it has nothing to do with the smear.

IGY's just looking for something that will prove his prediction correct that Obama will never, ever win.

Give me a break - Obama and Patrick are buddies, and Patrick probably called him up and told him to use his material.

My prediction: Obama will win by > 15% in Wisconsin, win by 5-10% in Texas and probably lose a close one in Ohio.  He will probably lose PA, but has a solid lead in NC.  Obama will not lose the pledged delegate race.

So what's left are superdelegates.  The democratic party has two choices:

A) Deal with a pissed off Hillary who will quickly fade into obscurity as media coverage focuses on the general election.  Traditional blue states will stay so, but Obama will pick up several of the southern states.  Florida will go to McCain, and possibly Michigan - this is the only risk of picking Obama.

B) Deal with the rabid media who have their teeth into a campaign controversy which will dog the Clinton campaign until the general election.  Further, the enthusiasm that has been building for Obama throughout the country will wash away.  The smaller states will stop caring about the election, because they will have been firmly told by the party that their votes do not matter.  States will fall along the same lines as the last two elections.  The only way Hillary has a chance is if she successfully argues to have the Florida delegates sat - that could tip the balance for her in the general election.

I think the party will have to go with Obama, because if they chose Clinton the election will be about how she got the nomination, and that will drive the independents toward McCain who is already polling ahead of her.  The only way Hillary gets the nomination is if Hillary has some sort of scorched earth scenario to undermine the campaign.

I think Obama's best strategic move right now would be to come up with a plan to seat the Michigan and Florida delegates without the primary results being used to split the delegates.  Hell, if Obama could get Edwards' endorsement, it would make Florida irrelevant (Clinton 50%, Obama/Edwards 47%).

Obama could probably end this today with an announcement of Edwards as his running mate.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Oh, by the way - it would take a bit more than a petty smear campaign to stop this freight train...

IGY, get used to the idea of a brown president.

and youre so far in his pants that you cant even admit he had a bad day...also the fact that you say wisc is a "huge" hillary state is hilarious...you say this so that if obama loses it will lessen the sting as you can downplay it by saying it was hers the whole time when in fact most polls show its within the margin of error

Politicians have bad days all the time.  Unless he gets caught farging a girl scout, Obama can pretty much ride anything out that the Clinton slime machine has to offer.

Oh, and I told you they'd go nuclear on Obama.  Those two have no shame whatsoever.   Both of them are scum and they need to go away.  NOW.

obama fever has carried longer than i ever thought it would and i think its a great thing but in the end i still dont see him getting the nomination...hope im wrong

Can a good Muslim be a good American?

This question was forwarded to a man who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia.

Religiously - no. . . Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256) (Koran).

Scripturally - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

Geographically - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. . . . Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. . . . Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. . . . Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles, and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. . . . Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. . . . Because when we declare "one nation under God,"
the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation, perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans.

* * * Call it what you wish; it's still the truth.

* * * You had better believe it.

* * * The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.
And Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim, wants to be our President?
You HAVE to be kidding?!  Wake up America !

Obama even says if he wins the election, he will be sworn in on the Quran (Koran)---not the Bible!
