i mean im def trolling you but his show sucks, its not funny, his opinions are rancid and he platforms grifters. its a really easy punching bag.

maher had his moment, probably too long a moment, but he had it. his routine became stale and played out and now hes an angry old man bitter and the game has past him by. hes like a baseball player hanging around hitting .250 who people still come to see because they were good in 2007.

to understand maher you gotta understand political comedy

for years it barely existed. it was hacky at most. carson would tell some one liners and SNL would do their stepped on skits. that was it. that was the era he came up in. his competition was letterman (unpolitical until iraq) and leno (a complete stooge). bill was offering much much better shtein than them. then he got lapped by jon stewart and colbert. then the internet started doing better, quicker variations of his shtick. then non white men started getting a turn.

all that has resulted in a severely outdated style and viewpoint on the world. its super super cringe.

Long live Nick Foles! (Along with the couple dozen other WWlll survivors). Those nukuler subs are no joke, though. As I recall, about 1/3 to 1/2 of US nukes are designated for subs (depending on whose numbers you like and what is in service at the time). They can hang out under the arctic polar cap for weeks at a time, punch up through, launch, and disappear before an enemy knows what's up. Unfortunately though, Russia is well ahead of us with maneuverable hypersonics, which are a true game changer. For example, there's not much that can take out a US carrier much less a strike group, but they might well be capable now and we have no answer. Like I've always said, paranoid psychopathic Russian dictators and mach 7 hypersonic ballistic missiles aren't a good mix (not to mention they will probably be an insane mach 10 to 20 in the next few years).
