i dont doubt this is a terrible country, but a trump pivot that was impossible for him wasnt going to do anything. people felt how they felt about him and it turns out there are enough people in 3-5 states that can stomach voting for biden while they couldnt for clinton - and the people putting work in on the streets most certainly helped this.

I chuckled at that too.   I grew up in Jenkintown and Sea Isle.  Neither place was a Democratic stronghold.   Most of the people I grew up with were apolitical.  Now they're hard core Trumpers. 

I think Obama getting elected twice brought this to a head, actually.
