they dont pay attention, dont know who joe biden is and the ground game lagged because of covid. tough to reach this crowd digitally. you can get them back but itll take the right candidate...which then hurts other areas of the party

North Dakota legislature candidate who died from COVID-19 wins election

A Republican candidate for the state legislature in North Dakota who died from COVID-19 in October won his election Tuesday night.

Election results in North Dakota showed the Bismark-area district going to David Andahl and Dave Nehring. The district chooses two representatives.

According to the Associated Press, Andahl died due to complications from COVID-19 at the age of 55 in October. He had been sick and hospitalized with the disease.

Andahl and fellow District 8 House candidate Nehring won the Republicans endorsements and voters' nominations to defeat one of North Dakota's most powerful lawmakers, Rep. Jeff Delzer, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.

Andahl won about 35% of the vote to win the seat.

She's awesome. I live in her district and participated in a round table discussion for her campaign on zoom. The topic was supposed to be education in general but obviously a lot of it became
Covid-centric.

I don't think she'll be in that seat long. Statewide office awaits

I've got nothing to back it up yet but it feels like the Trump campaign just did to Latino voters what they did to WWC class voters in 2016–lie to them and scare them into voting against Dems. Whether it was "socialism!" Or "crime!" Or "jobs!" Or whatever it was. Only thing I can think of besides outright cheating that got us the numbers we did in the non-Cuban Latinos. Because Biden really doesn't seem like he lost a lot of vote from HRC. It's almost all new turnout
