I refuse to think that that many people are either terrible or stupid.

bahaha this is adorable and so very white

welcome to america, its full of rancid people

You spelled "the world" wrong. And it's not a color thing. Don't be a fleshpop.

only white people are *shocked* and clutching their pearls that this country is full of awful people...everyone else has known for quite a long time

sorry that nice neighbor or church friend not so secretly jerks off to 2 year old guatemalian kids being locked in cages but he does

the whataboutism of saying there are bad people around the world is also cute

the power of fox news is strong...how they helped convince this many americans that donald trump is the better choice to lead our country is beyond me. hopefully uncle joe can pull out a close one & not get screwed with shady recounts & disputes.  then the dem party needs to get their sheet straight going forward.

Well, just because you think that obvious prejudice is true, doesn't make it true. I'm sure there are people of color  that would like to think better of people. Also, you're still being a fleshpop. Kinda like Trump-like speech there, killer. Also, and I can't stress this enough, don't be a fleshpop. The world doesn't need it.

so working voter protection yesterday

-i helped no less than 50 people (felt like 100) find their correct polling place. so many came in because they lived around the corner and just thought they could waltz up and vote. not how it works. i cant imagine how many people did this at other locations and if there was not a helpful white nerd there to assist....they just bailed. thats 1000s of votes.
-some people though were registered at a different polling place than their spouse. might not have been getting all the correct info from them but for sure random errors like that exist in precinct assignments.
-PA dems were offering free rides to the polls which i coordinated for a bunch of people who were at the wrong spot. lot of volunteers on the phone to set up, lot of lyft drivers out there to take them. it really takes a team to pull this off.
-tons of provisional ballots, more so than normal. philly assigned precincts kind of late, so some people were at the right spot but not on the books. bunch of people tossed their mail ballots and couldnt vote on the machine. these get counted last so patience is key here.
- i highly recommend people sign up to do this, specifically for a voting location in a lower socioeconomic area. people want to vote but are confused about the process, they dont think about re-registering after they move, etc. if you can be there to assist, it can really make a difference. long day but worth it IMO
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

No, everyone everywhere else is awesome, of course. Super hot take. I'm not excusing anyone here and haven't in any of my comments, by the way.

A few thoughts as an independent. 1) This is closer than it should be. 2) It's as annoying as expected. 3) The Dems have themselves to blame for a lot of this, because they couldn't get their shtein together early enough and their infighting is off the charts stupid. 4) I still have no idea how Trump gets these numbers...I refuse to think that that many people are either terrible or stupid. But I couldn't sleep at night voting for that guy, personally. I don't know how that works for people. Sad state of affairs all the way around, regardless of the outcome...though there's definitely one better outcome.

Agree. Especially on point 3.

One thing the GOP does is they batten down and defend their own. Much to the chagrin of normal people those fools will rally and stand beside each other for the most part. Look no further than Cheeto Dick insulting everyone but they stay in lock step.

The dems can't keep their shtein together.

Whether Joe wins or not they all need replacing. Perez. Pelosi. Schumer. Have a seat, clowns.
I can't say there was anybody in the whole primary field that I could really get excited about. Generously, Trump speaks like he's in 6th grade and Joe speaks like he's on his 6th drink. Dems really do need a basic change.

Yep the dems need to take these next two years to really dig deep and make sure they put forth candidates who energize voters in the state and local levels. They won't have "Trump bad!" to resort to.

I'm still blown away that the black and latino votes swung like they did.

Good on you for that.

its laughable to blame the dems even a little and not the electorate...sure there are problems with the structure and people in power but its not even a blip on the radar compared to the tens of millions of american citizens who not only support but actually like racism, sexism, corruption, xenophobia...the "best" of these people dont consider these things deal breakers..and im not just talking about maga hat rockin trump flag wavin boat paraders...its your co workers....your neighbors...the people who never mention politics...its democrats and even some "liberals"...its not just some psycho fringe...

amerikkka was built on white supremacy and at heart is still all about white supremacy and well more than half the white people in the country are good with that

QuoteAccording to data released on Wednesday, the United States Postal Service failed to deliver thousands of absentee ballots around the country before the cut-off times — and one of the worst failures occurred in South Florida, where 27 percent of mail-in votes may have never been received.

Guess what they're not going to do. The rallying cry for this election started as "vote blue no matter who," so the party found a candidate, again, who pushed that promise to the absolute limit. And then he picked a cop for a running mate.

The man. The myth. The legend.

You might be laughing, but it's absolutely a valid point. You're looking at it all-or-nothing...of course people are part of the problem; but people are, apparently, also gullible and prone to believe what they see/hear from the media regardless of what side they get it from. The democrats as a power structure eat each other up and give way too much up by trying to take each other down...which makes it harder for them to come together and to string together a cohesive and reliable strategy. I've been in communications for 30 years, and I absolutely know how it works, and it is valid. They could do a much better job of winning people over with a consistent narrative. But if you don't think so, have at it. I'm not in the making up your mind business.

General_Failure

I for one just hope that, if Biden does win the election, he works as hard as Obama did to appease Republicans and holds no one accountable for the many, many crimes committed over the last four years.

The man. The myth. The legend.

biden will receive the most votes of any candidate in the history of the country...people came out..that wasnt a problem...the problem is a white supremacist and the single most corrupt politician of all time got more votes than obama in 2008
