Lmao. Hey SD, take this one to the deplorables for me :-D

Not needed. It's already a blood bath of epic proportions.

I'm looking forward to the mental contortions put forward by the likes of Romney, Collins, and Murkowski when they fall in line behind Trump once this goes to the Senate.

Collins is of course extremely troubled by these revelations I'm sure

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Regarding her, I wonder if she doesn't see a turn against Trump as her best chance to win a tough re-election.  A "see how independent I am" play.

I was taking a read a little earlier and my account that had no posts, no likes, no messages anywhere, etc got banned :-D

Me thinks a certain right wing lying mod is trying to make sure no one hungry hungry hippos his fellow Trump voters by banning any account he sees reading the Ukraine thread that belongs to a shell account.

But the few pages I saw, dead silence from the Trumpers.

I imagine that'll be her best play but the people of Maine turned on her so fast after Kav, and with the ranked choice voting system, I feel like she's dead in the water. Prob depends on who ends up being the nominee.

You know shtein's gotten weird when you've made Alan Moore get off the fence.

i refuse to believe this will matter...you think devin nunes is just gonna be like oh ok u right impeach him

it all means less than nothing....everyone knew trump was a racist sexual predator criminal traitorous thug before a single one of these hearings...the people who didnt care then wont care about this stuff

also if it were to change something it would have to change republicans in the senate not nunes

the real change question is how many moderate/independent/obama-trump voters does this cause to leave trump

because the ONLY thing that matters is november 3, 2020

While I agree, that's such short term thinking. Only Congress can, or should be able to, enact real change. The President's only power should be Veto; Executive Orders are an abuse of the office.

Outside of the system that makes it impossible to vote Change in, the biggest detriment to our government is the majority of the people fervently identifying themselves as either Democrats or Republicans.

33+٪ voted for Clinton, 33-٪ voted for Trump, and 33- -% did not vote. I'd be interested to learn what the percentage is of the non-voters whose decision was not wrought from apathy or laziness, but from the understanding that it just doesn't farging matter.

Geowhizzer

Voter turnout in 2016 was slightly over 55%.  Basically, it was 26% Clinton, 26% Trump, about 3% third party and 45% "don't give a farg."

Tomahawk

I appreciate the correction; I was basing the math off of 138 million people who voted versus 60 million who didn't.

It's not that we don't give a farg; it's that your vote doesn't matter because of the lengths our representatives have gone to institutionalize their power.

Rome

The problem is more citizens voted for a candidate who lost the election than the piece of shtein who won the election.

The problem is we have an electorate who is more willing to believe a pathologically lying con artist than actual verifiable facts.

The problem, dear friends, is US.
