Yeah, no.  I misunderstood the tweet.  I thought he was saying, we'll be taxing the income the athletes get, which makes sense.  The scholarships themselves...I don't know about that.   Government wants to call them taxable benefits, like when a non-married partner gets health care from his spouse's employer provided health care, or something like that?  But only for those players who actually get paid?  Sounds tricky.  How much does a student athlete have to earn to trigger the claim on the scholarship?
