Munron has the right of it here.  Democrats are not putting forward plans to give free sex changes to prisoners.  They put forward plans for all Americans to have health care, and then some clever reporter gets them on record mentioning a specific consequence of such a plan, and the right takes that and runs.  Maher is doing Trump's work for him here.  MDS is also right.

Gordon Sondland's lawyer tells WSJ that his client told the House that the White House channel to Ukraine amounted to a quid pro quo afterall, and that his client would be willing to return to the hearings to clean up his testimony.  His first g-round, before Bill Taylor gave testimony, was soft and mushy about details that have now been clarified by others, and so it appears that Sondland feels the pressure to fine-tune his testimony.

Republicans are getting backed tighter and tighter into their corner.

Biden's your one and only hope. I don't think he's a great candidate but the middle doesn't want Warren's extreme left socialist policies and most important she isn't getting the black vote. She's a worse candidate than Hillary and will get bullied by Trump in the debates. Biden checks all of the boxes.

Warren has amazing confidence and conviction but she started to get exposed the last debate. I think she's peaked. Trump can get away with treating her like a batshtein crazy woman. There's your issue. Biden not so much

Yeah Biden would be so disheartening to have as a candidate in this moment and would go a long way to keeping young people cynical about the political process. But any one of him, Warren, or Sanders would mash Trump if they had the election tomorrow. Sanders is the only one I worry about because there's so many centrist Hillarybot weirdos out there that I'm afraid would actually not vote for him. And I say that as a huge Sanders fan.
